How will they know you haven’t been in say Switzerland which isn’t in the Eu?
Unfortunately it’s as clear as mud to me. Unless something changes before the end of the year, I am working on 90 days including travel in UK and 90 days somewhere in Schengen, again including travel. The last thing I want is to be worrying about getting it wrong.Glenn2926 How do you know this? Is there somewhere on the internet that I can read about this?
Rubbish. Don’t agree. Well that’s my opinion. Better off my chest as well"We knew what we voted for" that often quoted chestnut always sends my blood pressure skywards. Obviously "we" didn't.
Fooled by lying, scheming, disingenuous representations, and the (quite possibly chlorinated) chickens will soon be coming home to roost. I'm quite sure all the bluster is some sort of twisted version of macho negotiation and that the no deal scenario will be averted at the last minute, but if anyone seriously thinks they'll continue to exercise the right we have now, to roam for as long as we want in our expensive motorhomes then they really do need their heads examined.
Laziness, apathy and the willingness to accept lies and propaganda won the day. It's not the will of the people despite what the pro brexiteers say, but it is what we have to accept now for better or worse. I have a feeling it's only going to get worse with the charlatans that are "in charge" now anyway.
Phew, that's better off my chest! Just my opinion, I don't expect universal agreement with it!
So what you are basically asking for is that Freedom of Movement is retained....... thats exactly what those who voted to Leave wanted stopped..Currently Eurozone Nationals can stay within UK for as long as we can stay within their Countries. Can the UK Government be lobbied/ pursuaded/ encouraged to strike a Deal with the Eurozone permitting their Nationals to remain within UK as now, so long as we remain within their Countries, as now i.e. maintain the status quo ?
And who will speak for the Motorhomers on this and any similar matters ?

And if that 37% many had not a clue what exactly they were voting for ......certainly they didn't think ahead to trips to Europe as I can't believe the amount of motorhomers that are currently posting on other platforms asking this question and yet are happy to state they voted for it.I think you mean the will, in 2016, of 37% of the electorate or 52% of those who voted. Hate to be pedantic but not really the population of the UK.
& you hand over your new TIE card with it showing that you live in an EU state as a permanent resident.Hopefully this time we might even be able to travel on them alone unlike the last time we had them.Passport control will see your British passport and assume you are a British citizen.
There are a couple of them that are due to join shengen this year though .....and many of the others pose an insurance issueI understand that you can only stay 90 days in the schengen zone then you have to leave to either the UK or a non schengen zone country. There are a number to choose from. Photo attached, or google itView attachment 402107
Ah yes but only in one directionSo what you are basically asking for is that Freedom of Movement is retained....... thats exactly what those who voted to Leave wanted stopped..
Dont think so..BUSBY.And if that 37% many had not a clue what exactly they were voting for ......certainly they didn't think ahead to trips to Europe as I can't believe the amount of motorhomers that are currently posting on other platforms asking this question and yet are happy to state they voted for it.
Many were just taken in by a big red bus
Talking about movement not immigration. BUSBY.There are a couple of them that are due to join shengen this year though .....and many of the others pose an insurance issue
As I plan to do germany italy croatia albania montenegro and greece this year from September ive been making enquiries regarding the insurance....€55 for 15 days in albania, montenegro currently not allowing overnights but can pass through if heading home ( hopefully that will change)
Certainly more planning required than before
Well said and fully agree. May I add that as the pound is due to drop to a level of a developing nation from Jan 2021, only the rich will be able to afford long periods in Europe."We knew what we voted for" that often quoted chestnut always sends my blood pressure skywards. Obviously "we" didn't.

Easy in my case I am much too old for work..Would not think many immigrants arrive in uk by motorhome or caravan,,usually they are in a rubber dingy.BUSBY.Immigration/Moment are the same thing.
An 'itinerant' in a motorhome (which could be me or you) turning up at a border wanting to be let in, saying they are off to the beach for a couple of weeks, and once there finds a nice beach bar that needs someone to pull pints for the rest of the season, payment in cash.
Sounds good to me if you don't need to go home for a while.
The problem is how do you tell the difference between the 'immigrant' (stealing our jobs, not paying taxes etc...) and the 'Movement' (Tourist or business person) who comes for two weeks and then goes home.
It's not a simple black/white issue, there are a lot of shades of grey, students, long term work placements, specialist contractors, long term tourists (snow birds), and so on.
Financial advisor eh.They said it would drop to that level back in 2016 after the referendum. Some gloomy negative people about.BUSBYWell said and fully agree.
