Noisy dogs

Only badly trained dogs bark unnecessarily.
Then both ours are extremely badly trained.
They bark at each other, they bark at deer in the back field, they bark at folks walking past in the lane.
How would intolerant folks feel if someone kept telling them to shut up, barking is a dog's way to communicate.

This is Jess, She is the Carlsberg dog! she tells us when someone is coming, I don't doubt her, she has much better hearing then me! but shuts up when told to. I hate yappy dogs too.

As I’ve just said above I can’t get used to them sons boxer just clears the outside table as it’s like a whip.
Labradogs tails much the same, they don't seem to feel pain no matter how hard they bang it against things. But if born with it it should keep it in my view and I think the KC have had to come round to that view.

Update:

Worse than yappy dogs is 2 caravan loads of them northerners have arrived and have not stopped talking for the last 2 hours 😁😁

Will file my complaint with management, nothing in the brochure about it😂😂
But after all you are oop north.🤣

Strangely, they didn't bark at the bloke walking across the field yesterday.....bollock naked but for a pair of shoes.
I think they were confused.
Yeah, probably couldn't understand why they weren't able to tear off his shoes as well.

My dog barks when she is watching wrestling, she can turn the TV on herself and I am not kidding, channel section can be difficult but she is working on it. She is a 20 week yr old Border Collie, my brother asked if she could help him fix his satellite problem.
Very clever dogs those Border Collies, don't like them though, it was the first dog that bit me when I was a Postman

Son has one but I can’t get used to it as it has a tail !!
We had two both docked as was the standard at the time.

All three of our boxers had tails. The first one we had back in 1996 as, even then, it was illegal to dock.
Boxers are either well behaived or a nightmare always wanted one but could never risk it

Maybe; we’ve had loads of folks come up to us at MH shows, and the like, to fuss our dogs and to tell us that they can’t take theirs out! It is, and always will be, about training.

We’ve seen about half a dozen boxers on our current Spanish trip and, without exception, they have, much to our surprise, all been impeccably behaved.

Our first boxer was around 1986 and we got our second 1994, first one lasted 13 and a half years and second one 12 and a half years, my sons is very good but a complete nightmare, told him he needed to get it well trained from the beginning, it’s a typical soft, daft and boisterous dog that virtually knocks you over, never been trained properly, should have stopped the jumping up from the start.

Yes, it’s imperative that they’re trained. My wife was largely responsible for training our two (it would have been a nightmare for her (in her late fifties) trying to control two large unruly dogs) and a damn fine job she made of it. She took them both up to Gold Standard on the Kennel Club Good Citizens Awards.

One of our neighbours across the road got a boxer puppy a few months ago and it's skatty and madder than a box of frogs.
…… and how are your neighbours?

They will have a BIG influence on its behaviour.

I had a friend in Scotland who used to breed and show boxers. They had 5 and they had a wonderful temperament and were great with kids. Although I didn't have a dog myself I thought they were great (y)

I now have a Boxer and it always behaves and does exactly what I ask of it :whistle2:
