Ninja Foodi, "Thread".......

We have the 15 in 1 smartlid..fantastic bit of kit, use it all the time in the van👍 We are just preparing a curry to go into it as I type.😋

Just done that in my 20yr old pressure cooker, another fantastic bit of kit,

Good on ya👍 But can it steam air fry or steam roast for example 😆😜

No, but can hard boil eggs, boil potatoes and veg etc. do stews, curries, boiled beef & Carrots, steamed veg and puddings etc! ............AND yes, you give me the roast and I'll steam it for you!

Don't think I've ever steamed anything in my life, wouldn't miss that feature. Ordered the 6 in 1 Mini, coming Tuesday 😍

Get one, you know you want to. 🙈🙈

Don't need one (yet) I'll wait until after the 3F meet and Langtoftlad & Lisa have demonstrated some too me!

(to be honest, I looked at them when they first came out and the one I looked at seemed to be too heavy and hulky for my PVC so I bought a Microwave instead.)

Well to add to the accolades for the Ninja I can report that as a new user of 2 days of a 14-1 very impressed. Crispy whole chicken(y) Crispy chips and onion rings and a crispy pork crackling joint such as I have never managed in the oven(y).
Still learning and there will be features and options I will never use but so far very impressed with it.
Does better than my fan oven in half the time and nearly half the power so a timely pre April purchase(y)
Big lump for a campervan but not discounting it. Will definately take it to the boat to use when on shore power.
Late to the Ninja party but glad I have arrived!:giggle:

Our 6 in 1 Mini got delivered yesterday. Success 👌 baked potato, roast carrots and a chicken leg each 😋

Not that I've got one yet, but have joined the FB Group and I have to say I'm amazed at the number of contributors who have little understanding of basic cooking techniques.

Seems a very expensive piece of kit to do frozen chicken nuggets

Worth it though.

I really thought about it long and hard, but decided I didn't need a pressure cooker which also crisps the food after cooking.

So I'm collecting my George Foreman grill tomorrow so I can cook steak, sausages and burgers a bit more successfully - we have an induction hob which was in the kitchen when we bought this house and I'm still struggling with it.

You do have to sift through to get the good stuff. Also, check the files out 😉

I agree - but just surprised at how many seem to buy an expensive bit of kit (£300) without seemingly any understanding of what it can do. Or basic cooking techniques.

But I guess if it encourages people to move away from "ping ding" microwave meals... has to be a good thing.

Well it lasted 6 days, sent it back today. Not impressed with it's power usage, element relay clicking on and off continuously (mostly on😕) might as well use the oven.
It does use a bit less power, an hours use at 190°c uses 0.875KWH compared to the main oven 1.01KWH, but the cost and worktop space it takes up, plus the lid storage space just breaks the deal for us.

And the pressure cooker feature 🤔 all that pissing about to save 10 minutes 😆

It's great if you don't have an oven. It was a ninja foodi mini 100uk (or similar) about 10kg 👍

I'll just check which rallies we are both at.
It's nice to know rich friends who know how to eat well and might share with less affluent OAP's!
