NHS App can't show proof of booster jab for covid pass.

Well, that's more than I can see. But I doubt that will pass muster for the travel pass side of things will it. As others have said - No bar codes.
A part complete QR code not passing muster for the travel and domestic element of personal usage is my concern as well . As the way things are going , it looks like showing a fully up to date QR code , ie showing 1st /2nd AND booster vaccines detail is potentially going to be a requirement , not just a maybe need to have .

Faffing around on the NHS app hoping to obtain evidence for either border pass through or gaining entrance to whatever place , is not going to endear anyone to said border post personnel or door keepers at any establishment .

I am not a software or app developer , but can it really be so difficult to have a fully national and common to all methodolgy of recording ALL vaccine info on a QR code , ready to show when requested or required ?

You wouldn't think so, would you.

NHS go app shows all mine under vaccinations NHS COVID app gives barcode but only for first 2 jabs

Not showing on my app. Maybe because I didn't have my booster at my GP? Loophole? Can anyone confirm they have the NHS app showing 3 jabs?
We both had booster at a local chemist, after jabs 1&2 at GPs - and have the NHS app showing all 3 jabs. (Just not in the Covid pass section!)

From NHS Scotland website:

Why isn't my booster dose shown on my vaccination status?

Only your first and second dose will show on your vaccination status, even if you've had a third or booster dose. Boosters are not required for international travel or domestic use (in Scotland), so are not currently included in the COVID Status app or paper copy.

Great foresight....

Going back to OP in this thread and also the following : scroll down to Public spaces and services (3)

""The French Government has announced that from 15 December, those who are 65 and over and who have been fully vaccinated for more than six months and five weeks will need to demonstrate that they have received an approved COVID-19 booster injection in order to access the “pass sanitaire” in France. We will update this page with further information when it becomes available."" ( my bolding)

The above would suggest that travel in to or via France will be affected for those in the age group shown. So it would be much easier to have the proof on the app QR code rather than printing out certificates etc. Presumably they will want the proof at country point of entry , eg Calais Dieppe etc.

UK Gov website suggests that clarification is awaited from French Government; 'as soon as we have further information we will update this page'. I saw the proposal in a Guardian article about 2 weeks ago and it suggested that the Booster requirement was aimed at French Nationals [who were slow to take up the original twin stage vaccinations]; the fact that clarification is still awaited suggests that the proposals are either unclear, or still being developed.

We received our paper Vaccination Certificates at lunchtime and they mirror the App 100%

When we entered France in July we did not use there health pass to prove our vaccination status and our NHS app was accepted by the French border staff. Hopefully this will still be the case when we cross early January. I have no intention of using this French App unless absolutely essential. Once again we will be transiting to Spain and do not intend to stay long in France.

When I said to log on using an ipad or a lap top I meant log into your GP surgery’s main website. I am not talking about the app. Systemonline is the main software system that GP surgeries use. The other is EMIS. If you use the log in details that your surgery gave you and it happens to be Systemonline you will get a screen like the one in my photo and can then easily request access to your full medical record.

I don’t know what EMIS looks like because I don’t use it. I expect it will be similar, sometimes you just have to look around it a bit. Much of it is to avoid fraud.

I am trying to be helpful but my photo was not of a phone app!

If I may be so bold and to assist, the website that carolyn is referring to is;

I suppose it doesn't help that 'system' for this website is not spelled correctly.

Thank you, I often do that despite using it for years, I got it right in my next post though! Thank you again. I have given up trying to help now though as it‘s turned into one of those going round in circles threads. My patience was wearing thin:giggle:

Yet,,BUSBY.

You can send off to receive a covid pass in the the post. This is a copy of qr codes with dates that don't expire. Link is on nhs page where you download codes from.
I had 3rd dose, booster or whatever its called, last week and was told it takes 4 weeks to be shown on app.

Having had No 3 booster back in mid October, asked why it is not shown as I wish to return to Cyprus and property. My reply came from the centre that carried out 3 and flu jab at same time, it was the UK gov site it so inundated with information they have had to admit they cannot cope? and it would take 4 weeks, BS, it is still not there and all I have is the small card, and of course some injection. To me this is a ploy by Boris the Bullsh*tter to look good but once again the Government does not deliver on its promises.

It appears that the NHS app wasn't configured to enable it to show proof of the booster jab and it therefore is not shown on the covid pass. We have a trip booked to France in December and unless I'm reading this wrong I think that it would mean our vaccine pass will have run out. Apparently the card showing you have had the booster is not sufficient it has to be a Q code. From Dec 15th over 65s without booster jabs (or in the case of UK citizens not able to prove they're jabbed) will not be allowed in numerous French venues, restaurants etc.
Our department of health is monitoring the situation. Well we'll all breath a big sigh of relief there then!!
Probably because the booster hadn’t been decided upon at the time the app was developed and because whoever commissioned it didn’t have the foresight to think it might be a useful addition. I’m sure as soon as a cabinet minister realises the need for it to escape the day to day tedium of their many day jobs it’ll be added toute suite 😀

Not too sure what the fuss is all about, we have crossed the border at Calais (Eurotunnel) four times in the last month and no-one has bothered about Covid vaccination documentation, passes, food checks or ANYTHING other than passports,,,,,

If you go into the NHS app and to the section listing activities it will show both the booster and flu jabs. So print this off as well. The covid passport bit qr code times out after 30 days so you need to print this fresh a few days before departure.. Things might change

Just checked my NHS App. Found where my booster Covid-19 Vaccination is recorded. but doubt that will be useful for travel in France as no QR code. Have written to my MP about this issue.

I don’t think you can blame the NHS or the Govt really. When we started giving the jabs no-one had any idea that we were going to need boosters and certainly not so quickly after the Primary course of two jabs. Everyone was just desperate to get it into peoples arms to stop people dying, no-one was really thinking about how inconvenient it might be down the line for holidays. The travel pass looked like it was working very well. The advice regarding Boosters and who is getting them is changing so rapidly.

Hopefully the software can soon be updated to allow the booster to be added to the pass but it’s on your records somewhere for goodness sake.

I do feel for people like Pausim however who had the Novavax which is a good vaccine and has just struggled to get approval at the final hurdle for no good reason. I was working on Wednesday in a vaccination clinic with one of the Doctors who was involved in the clinical trials funnily enough. We should all be very grateful to the thousands of people like Pausim who volunteered for these vaccine trials who really didn’t know what they were letting themselves in for .

We haven’t been sent any of the cards to hand out with the last two Covid deliveries and we’ve never had those nice little stickers that pappajohn has. They’re snazzy. At the first clinic when people were asking about them our chief nurse who is quite forceful (bossy) just raised her hands and shouted “Boris is saving the planet”!
Other European countries manage to show it for international travel.

I had my booster 5 weeks ago and cannot find it on the NHS app. Where did you find yours?

Those codes do not work internationally.
Yes they do - they can be imported into the French TousAntiCovid app and generate a Pass Sanitaire code.

Despite bexleyjohn’s comments above (#77) you need this pass to get into a cafe or restaurant (even outside) or a campsite with pool.

It is in the section GP Health Record, then go to Consultations and events. You may need to get your GP to authorise access to this part of your record.

If you download the TousAntiCovid app and upload your second qr nhs code to it, it won’t need updating every month.
And you can have more than one code in the app so you don’t both have to have smart phones.
I used the codes saved in the TousAntiCovid app in Greece and Italy as well as France. Make sure you select full screen and border mode before they scan the code.
One problem being that France will require proof of a third booster vaccination from 15th December for access to hospitality settings, among others.

As does mine Jim. (y)

busby and peterc10. You have to click on View Your GP Health Record, then Immunisations. Mine even shows my recent flu jab. :)

Cheers,

Jock. :)
I've also looked where you said. No sign of my booster only the two vaccines and the qr code which expires on the 15 Dec which it states that the date will change very time you log in. No sign of my flu jab either which was done in the local chemist so perhaps that's why.

Just scanned your QR codes and allowed me to see all your medical records - quite an impressive list!

only jesting!
The GP surgery has to agree to medical records being available on the app and mine has not agreed.

I think it may be worse than just no booster being shown on the app - my covid Travel Pass (QR Codes 2 off for jabs 1 and 2) states that they expire on December 13th 2021?

I had no idea that they expired at all.

We will be through the tunnel by 20th Nov in any case and will worry about the renewal of the QR Codes when we are away (Spain mainly).
they only last for a month, I think it's a security thing, just go into the app again and you'll see the expiry date will have changed. ie view on 20th Nov and expiry date will say 19th Dec.

That's great, until you meet the official that does want to check your covid pass or, perhaps once in France, you wish to go to a restaurant.
