NHS App can't show proof of booster jab for covid pass.

acropolis22. As posted earlier, like yourself Rita couldn't access her full health record on the NHS App, only a summary.
Yesterday she went to the surgery and spoke to a receptionist, who informed her that Rita hadn't yet given permission. With the receptionists help, Rita went back into the App as advised, and found her full health record available there for her to access.
It only took a couple of minutes.

BTW, neither of our boosters were carried out by our surgery, however, both boosters are showing on our Apps. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)
Well, I'll check again, but as I keep saying, I've already given permission in writing. There was no mention of partial access.

Maybe that permission wasn't processed upon receipt, even though you gave it.
Pop in when next passing by to confirm it with them.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

They had been talking about a booster jab for months, indeed, it was always certain that boosters would be needed sooner or later.
Of the many, many apps we all have on our phones and devices there are constant security updates, improvements and extra bits and bobs added.
These take place frequently and without fanfare, except it seems, for apps developed for Government/ official/ NHS use.
Those apps and updates appear to take longer and cost a fortune.
I wonder why?
Does anyone have a sensible answer?
I would imagine that much of any delay besides the beurocrats toing and froing will be down to testing the changes made to the app, not only for functionality but also security, actually coding the change shouldn't take very long.

I presume that the booster info is only available on the app if the vaccinator inputs the information to the NHS website .
When we had our booster the vaccinator had a screen up ,requested details etc ,whether we were allergic to anything ,had we had adverse reactions etc etc. (y)

Same experience here too Jim. :)

It doesn’t matter where you go to have your Covid jab, or your flu jab for that matter , the info will either be entered directly onto your medical record on-site or sent to your GP surgery and entered by them. It will then be on the NHS app.

I thought the Flu Jab was going to be offered at the Vaccination Centers alongside Covid Vacs and Boosters. One in each arm as I remember. Not offered at my Vac Center at all. Anybody know why as it was being heavily plugged not so long ago.

I know many GP surgeries who do the bulk of the flu jabs have in many cases opted out of the covid boosters - simply didnt have staff time to do them on top of everything else. I think the, one in each arm, scenario was speculation although there will probably be some who have had one in each arm. They certainly give pneumonia in one arm & flu in the other. But our surgery made separate appointments for shingles vaccine & flu. Also there have been issues with flu vaccine availability - we had our first appointment postponed. There seems to be lots of vaccine available now.

My local VC is heaving with people so perhaps the Surgeries and Chemists have been handed the Flu Jab to deal with as you say.

Normal practice around here to have both the flue and booster jabs at the same time - one in each arm.

We had planned to do it at the same time at the GP led clinics in our town/area but there was a big delay on the flu vaccine deliveries so got cracking on the Covid booster clinics. By the time the flu jabs arrived we’d given thousands of Boosters so logistically it made sense because of the way we do our clinics to then keep them separate (fridge space etc in the Town Hall, paperwork, over and under 65s flu vaccines are different), less risk of errors.

It’s obviously different depending on your set up. A lot of it was to do with the supply chain issues in the beginning with flu vaccines. It didn’t seem to hit Pharmacies as much but they don’t tend to give out as many in a day as the big centres. They may buy from different suppliers.

Just for interest GPs order how many flu jabs they think they will need each year months in advance. It’s not sale or return though so if they don’t get used they go in the bin and they lose money.

All 3 of my COVID jabs are on my NHS app but not my ‘flu jab…….yet.
It took about 2weeks for the booster to be on there!

But Surgery or Vaccination Center?
Vaccination Centre, we didn't have the option. If you just had the flue jab, again here, as a walk in the NHS app wasn't updated by some.

Just discovered my booster is now on the NHS app at last. Woo hoo :dance2: Think I’ll book a table for dinner in France 🇫🇷 somewhere now, just because I can:LOL::france:

from the BBC news site this morning...... mind you do you believe the BBC ?
  1. Covid booster and other third dose jabs can now be added to the NHS Covid pass for travel, the government has announced

If you look at the previous posts then you will see it’s true because some of us have checked our apps and sure enough the Booster has gone on overnight. I think it’s great, they said they’d do it and it’s done. Aren’t we lucky people.

Booster jags in Scotland will not show on COVID Status App. Scottish NHSinform website updated yesterday.

Steve

Had booster yesterday, now showing on NHS app this morning.
Well done NHS👍
Had Moderna this time and arm aches today, unlike the Astra Zeneca previous jabs which I didnt have any aches and pains.
