Well folks, we were headed for Alf, but pulled in to Enkirich, as it wasn't looking as mobbed as when passing before. It's been eight years since we've been here, when on a FACTS Meet. We'll be moving on from Graach tomorrow morning, but not sure whether to go north or south..............................yet.
Just up the road from us then Dave.Just pulled into Sankt Aldegund for the night. Nice spot will do a bit of exploring later (bars)
€7pn
Just been out and double checked, yes all facilities are by the entrance, ehu extraJust up the road from us then Dave.
Are there servicing facilities at St Aldegund please?
Cheers,
Jock.
Good grief Dave, you were lucky. We got here about 3 and got a spot looking over the rive
The last time we were here, at Enkirch (2010) the service area was only open at certain times of the day. Now that they charge for water, the area is open 24/7.I think you may find Sankt Aldegund a bit noisy (road and rail)
services at Enkirch are at bottom left corner if you go clockwise round the peri road about the cheapest water we found 1E about 90ltrs
Avoid “blowback” at all costs Jock, that could prove embarrassing and possibly painfull btw what’s Enkirch like? I turned up at Sankt Aldegund about 6pm and got a space facing river. Early night for us after a quick beer with Dave and Maggie, as it was rather heavy last night. What’s Bernkastel-Kues like? The last time we were here, at Enkirch (2010) the service area was only open at certain times of the day. Now that they charge for water, the area is open 24/7.
Our problem out here, is the pressure from the water meters. Because of the 90 degree angle from the filler neck to the tank, to avoid blowback, i have to put a reducer inline, but then we don't get the full metred amount, as it's done on a timer. At Graach (possibly the best servicing facilities around here), they have ball valves on the water hoses, so that you can regulate the pressure. Much more civilised.
Cheers,
Jock.
Did you edit that Simon? What’s Bernkastel-Kues like?
Haha yeah suree Stellplatz at Graach is a fair walk away (1.6Km), but not a problem for someone as spritely as yourself.
Cheers,
Jock.
