Mosel Meet.

Thinking of moving to Reil tomorrow, is their space?

There are a few front line pitches as people are coming and going all the time. After the weekends festivities a few have left this morning.

Can you give me directions or address please.

If you come up the 53 the stelplatz is signposted in Reil. Its on the west bank of the river over the bridge.

If you hover the cursor over the Stelplatz on @olley's link, then right click to bring up a menu, and left click on "What's here", you'll get the coordinates. 50.025459, 7.114929 (the entrance).

Cheers,

Jock. :)

You will be fine we left this morning and there was only two vans on the back row also 2 or 3 places on the front row were empty

We left yesterday morning ..we had planned on 3 or 4 days with Dave @Snowbird n Pat at Reil but we were made to feel so welcomed and enjoying ourselves so much that we stayed 3 weeks...

Thank you both for a great time and a good laugh , we will certainly keep an eye out for any more of your meets...
Until the next time we meet

My friends in Chichester are due to arrive in Reil by the weekend so you won’t be alone for long. They will be in their Adria.
I am joining them there around the 29th in my Wildax.

Another 2 funsters have rolled up today. Am just getting the locals trained, Sven brought me fresh supplies of contraband from Luxembourg today. It just gets better (y).

I can’t answer your question as I spoke to my friends John and Shirley who arrived there yesterday afternoon and they said it is quite difficult to actually find the entrance.
They said there isn’t a Brit in sight everyone has gone for now.Think they are a bit disappointed as they joined Fun only the other day.

Helen

@Koppersbeat wont be arriving in that area until endish of first week Sept , as am mainly going for the Enkirch Reisemobiltreffen :)
Thanks for headsup tho

Dave, @Snowbird had just paid for another week when we were there a few days a go, so I would be surprised if they have moved on and as for finding the entrance, we just followed the motorhome sign boards off of the road number 53 which follows the Mosel river

I will be here until mid September, not much point in moving as I have everything I need here. Its taken me weeks to train the locals to my way of thinking :).

I was going to move down to Enkirch for the overland meet, but decided against it as it will be easier to just ride down on my bike for the day.

@Snowbird , would you say if this is best way into the Stellplatz at Reil for a 12mtr RV ?

Thanks for that.
I had been looking on Google Earth and trying to determine the route in.

Just waiting to get a job on the house completed tomorrow and if all is well will be leaving middle of next week for a slowish trundle in that direction.
It’s many years since we were last in Germany so we are a bit excited at the prospect of being back by the Mosel.

Richard.

Tunnel booked. :D:D
Wednesday late afternoon crossing, overnight at Cite Europe or Gravelines, then pootle towards the Mosel.
Planning stops at Thieu and perhaps Stenay en-route.
Now it just depends on the weather. If Germany looks crap we might just head south instead.

Richard.

Thieu well worth looking, no facilities.
