Mosel Meet.

Oh dear...

JJ

Come on now JJ. I realise maybe the banana ride could be a little too much for you, so I could find a blow up settee just for you my friend. I do believe you and I should live a little on the edge again before its too late (y).
Something like this.

Snowbird. How was the hog roast and music in Reil we didn’t make it?
We are in Graach for a few days then possibly Reil or Zell. Don’t know anything about Zell but thought it may be worth a visit. As we were travelling here through a little village, a white van rushed past us in the opposite direction and knocked our mirror back. Luckily no damage!!
Ive just phoned our daughter on the south coast of England and she was watering our plants for us. As she was doing it, she said it started to rain!! Oh bliss, heaven!!!!
It’s supposed to rain Thursday here and get cooler soon so should be better.

The hog roast was superb thanks. Many from the village turned out and Sven said he may have made a small profit.
I was up at Zell this morning with the van to do some shopping at Globus and Aldi. The hot food restaurant inside Globus is very good and cheap, we had roast ham, new potatoes and mushroom sauce for breakfast . If you are staying in Zell, the stelplatz across the river by the footbridge is best if you want to walk into Zell. LPG and diesel are also cheaper at Globus.

It is already too late...

How can I put this nicely...

I would rather attach my (tiny) thingy to a heavy anvil using a length of rusty barbed wire and then slide the anvil down a flight of stairs rather than sit on a blow up settee being dragged along a vomit inducing bit of polluted river by a man who uses an electric trike to fetch the morning croissants.

JJ

"WE". He's gone native, he'll be posting in German next.

I have no idea what your talking about Brian. I just blend in wherever I am.

Aha, now I know who "Your people" are :D2.

Anyway, enough of this frivolity, I must get showered, cook has instructed me she wants to go wine tasting now the temperature has dropped to just above 30 and its much cooler. Mad dogs and Englishmen and all that stuff .

Stiff upper lip, remember you're British and whatever you do don't mention the war.

Excuse me Brian. English dont ya know . None of this PC stuff in Cheshire :).

I can imagine it now, speedboat with a big banana in tow full of funsters arriving at a riverside bar for aperitifs and lunch (y).
Oh aye, bring it on.

You'd best sling your heavy attached anvil down the stairs then @JJ  as I'm just the person to take your place on the blow up settee. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Heading for Trier tomorrow, is this the Stellplatz. Reisemobilpark Treveris?

Trier is I think the oldest city in Germany. It is typically very clean and very historical. A lovely place to visit.
All pictures will go full size with one click if on a PC
This is the view from the bridge you walk across the Mosel to the Town centre. Masses of space with the option of metered electric but sometimes you may need a longer cable

Take a card from the machine to open the barrier. Keep this safe as you pay on leaving at another machine.

If you use any facilities including electric you charge it to your entry card

Pre charge your card for everything but the parking. The machine will calculate your balance on departure

Is there anyone going to saarburg. We will be there on Saturday before heading towards berkastel kues

You have given me an idea, to stop here before Trier. Tomorrow C17 TSM.

For anyone in the area it seems there is another winefest and folk festival on the village promenade this weekend at Reil. I had a ride up there on cooks trike this morning and there was a lot of activity building bars a bandstand and toilets for what looks like a large gathering. Its starts on Friday and goes on until Sunday evening. We will of course be making an effort to help out the local economy over the coming weekend :).

We’ll be in saarburg tomorrow at some point.
Currently in Belford France and will be heading up tomorrow via St Avoid to visit the American WW2 cemetery

We are here
Okay I’ll look out for you when we arrive if you are still there. You can’t miss us Chausson motorhome NK we have a small adorable whippet with us.
Is it busy?

We have just had 2 hours of brass band practice in the town hall directly behind my pitch. Pretty good they are too, but obviously not up to Black Dyke Mills or Fodens of my youth. I presume its in practice for this weekends festivities on the promenade.

A few funsters heading to Trier tomorrow if you want to prize yourself away from Reil

A kind offer that I will have to refuse am afraid. This place has everything I need at a lot cheaper price than Trier. I have a riverside pitch 4 yards from the river, free wifi, unlimited electric, a bar/restaurant on my doorstep, free water and dump, a choice of at least a dozen bars and restaurants within walking distance. I may just sit the rest of the summer out here. All I need now is a classic speedboat.

Is the beer free? What's the site again? We are going to Trier think it's Hogmanay.
