Morocco 2017

We have spent the last 3 nights in Camping International El Jaddia, handy site near town and seafront.Could do with a bit of a tidy up but relaxed and casual not sure what the price will be but no more than 80 Mdr per night. We will be staying on the car park at Essaouira Sunday then after a visit to Carrafour on to a small site we found 2 years ago along the coast witch last time cost about 40 Mdr per night.
Travel safely,

Try Sidi kouki about 10 miles south of Essaouria 60 mad or 55 . if you stay over 3 nights. As in a lot of Morocco the mains voltage was down so we used gas ..
we were in pitch 14 up against the wall to keep the offshore wind at bay . Plenty of eating places down at the little town as well as the ones along the road side.

Moved off from the wildcamping spot we been on for last 3 days, you may remember a few days ago and everyone parked signed a form from the Council chap that visited basically saying we would leave it as we found it, yesterday i noticed quite a few people walking down the approach road with bags in their hands dissapear off the road and return empty handed, well today when leaving I stopped where i saw them dissapear and was confronted by 2 piles of strewn rubbish!!! Quite a few people saw me taking pics I hope they realise what rsoles they are, To be honest I was pig sick to know thats how some people show their respect and hospitality of this country.

Why don't we have a w****rs button....

Today we drove Guelmim, to Tafraout, staying on wild camping next door to the camping 3 Palmeries, what a great place for 10d a night. And I followed a man with 2 toilet cassettes up and upto the right, where he emptied them behind some excavations, will inspect closer tomorrow.

Whilst passing through Tiznit, I followed a funster, with a funsters plaque in the rear window. We did wave as we turned right, so here again is the wave

That really pisses me off and I am not even there. Ignorant morons, the sort of peaple who will f**k it up for everyone else. Sorry but it makes me so angry.

My sentiments exactly,
Morocco has a problem with rubbish which is evident everywhere, you can't educate the older generation but fortunately the younger generation are being educated into recycling and things are changing, so much so that the supermarkets no longer have plastic bags but paper ones, so attempts are being made and then you get Europians that should know better starting their own land fill sites up beggars belief!!! Rant over

Had two nights on lovely cheap site in Sidi Kaouki, clean hot showers and fresh bread. Back to Essa for one night then where? Would like a town with campsite walking distance. Love the coast but should we be heading for Tafroute despite grey and black problems? Saving Marrakech etc for heading home time. Not doing mountain passes. Put off Taghazoute by boredrider. A happy quandary!

Plenty of nice sites towards Tiznit, past Tiznit towards Guelmin Inland is Bouizikarne, newish site not far from the main town to walk in very nice owners, don't let the mountain passes put you off, part of the excitement except the Tizi N Test which I ive not done but if Ken reckons it's a brown trouser ride then it will be squeaky bum :)

We did Tizi n Tess in 7 mt was not a great problem.
I would suggest you go south to north leaving Taroudant at around 8 am to be up and over the mountains before the 56 seater coaches coming from Marakech get to the south side as the roads are wider on the north
