I plan to be there in two days, possibly tomorrow if the going is good. Bloody cold here tonight, down to 6 degrees. Looks like that two shit day forcast might be right. Love the pictures.

The weather forecast is :censored:rubbish,, rain for all the country except this area around Ouazazate and towards Erichida way? our plan was to go to Marrakesh today then head towards Azrou and Meknes but it's raining there, so could possibly be snowing in the Tizn Ticha pass? and it's snowing in Ifrane till thurs !!! not doing that again(n) we will hang around here for a few days till the forecast is better. Will leave here today and drive back into Ouazazate and have a gander at the wildcamp by the lake, thanks Ken for the co-ords(y) keep us posted Phill

You all keep the bad weather up there, odd bit of cloud here at Tata and a stiffish breeze, knackerd tyre replaced so moving on to Foum Zquid in the morning will have a look round and might stop at a site (Khayma) for the night,

The weather in the whole country looks rubbish except Ouarzazate and probably Zagora/Merzouga regions

The dashcam vid of the R107 from Icht to Tafroute one of the better Moroccan roads lol

Weather decent where we are in Spain just shame the vans in a garage and we're in a hotel 45 miles away
Have I missed something? What's happened to your van?

Left Taf at 6 am, it was a cold night, down to 4 deg and 6.5 when we dtove out of the camping area.
We leaft behind the last Funster, Darren and Lynne, loved their company and had our last meal with them which was fitting as this was the couple we shared our first meal with in Taf last year.
Now in Camping Toubkal, Talouine. We took the R106 to Irham then R109 to Taroudante joining the N10 to Talouine.
Both the R106 & R109 are in good condition and clearly significantly upgraded from last year. (Nice one Mark).
When we joined the N10 it was duel carriageway for a while then between 60 - 100 KPH for the rest of our run. We passed the Jct where the R106 joined the N10 and the route we took is much better and quicker than just staying on the R106 all the way to Talouine.
About 5 hours driving in total to get to the campsite and quite tired when we got here, did not sleep well last night so managed a few hours here without difficulty after we arrived and timed it just right as it started raining just after I hooked up to the lecce. We are the only ones on the campsite, 80Dh a night with Lecce, not bad. The toilets and showers are ok and their is an on site restaurant. We will stay here tonight then move on to Ant Bedhaddo tomorrow, need to get some washing done, so will stay a couple of days there and also visit the Kasbah.
Will post some pics later.

Pulled into the lovely new aire at Puerto lapice and got out to find we had covered it in oil and it was still pouring out. Caused by the cam shaft pulley coming loose or something like that but it looks like it will be sorted tomorrow so should catch the ferry as planned on Wednesday

Moist here at Tafraoute. Not a lot of rain, mainly drizzle, but I bet no one was wetter than us this morning.....after a good scrub in the hammam! Then to the Atlas hotel for brunch.
Less than 40 vans here now. Going to be a peaceful last couple of weeks on site!
Caught the raspberry man for a couple of punnets, then got water from the bowser.
Enjoy your travels in maroc guys.

Did you turn back?.There seems to be a dodgy 3 point turn at the end of the vid:eek:

Yes massive failo_O van tyres were just slipping and spinning on the dirt track, had to turn back and go over that 20 odd km of piste again

Looking like a washing day Thursday

Nice peaceful night here, albeit windy! May stop another day then make a plan whether to go to Kesh? or onto Dades and Todra gorges? has anyone ever driven from Tenerhir the R703 thru the Todra Gorge to Agoudal then the R317 to El-Ksiba picking up the N8?
Another van has just pulled in, parked on the high behind us, the co-ords I gave are where we are parked on the low level, next to the lake;)
The weather looks poor for most of the country till Fri.
