We stayed here for a few days earlier this year and loved it. I take it your in the car park with the Guardian next to the Golf course. I would recommend a visit to the underground jail across the road, the Sultans palace just inside the main gateway and a must see is the Sultans stable (12,000 horses). All within walking distance of where you are. Have you got lost in the souk yet! It's a maze to say the least. Also, there are 3 bars which serve alcohol if your interested. We are currently in Meknes it is very hot and sunny 25' police are everywhere. Feels very safe. Meknes is one of our favourite places. Friendly people and great location in the city centre. you would pushed to find a safer spot in any country as there is always a car with a couple of plain clothes police parked there and more often than not a couple of uniforms too. Being so close to the Royal Palace means the place is crawling with security. We are currently in Meknes it is very hot and sunny 25' police are everywhere. Feels very safe.
