What batteries would you recommend Peter. The rechargeable ones that came with the radios are now Kaput and I'm not sure if the AAA rechargeable ones would be man enough/ There are non rechargeable AAA batteries available with some of them quite expensive. I don't mins buying these but wonder if they are worth it.
New batterys should be ok if you want to replace radios have a look on ebuyer
But don't spend a lot I would get some thing with a charger supplied

Hi, There used to be a service between Laayoune and Fuerteventura but the ferry ran aground and and the operation was axed. The ship still remains off the coast as a reminder !!

When we were down in Tarfaya this year they were building the new promenade and also supposed to be working on the harbour? was told the ferry service to Canary isle was going to re-start?

To help anyone thinking of going this year I have been looking at Maroc Telecom site for rates for internet. They are not dissimilar to last year. Attached copy from their web page.

Can anyone remember the code you have to put in to add credit to Data on the sim ? .
if you just type in the normal code from your top up card , it only charges the calls / Text and NOT the Data , .. AS I FOUND OUT
I bought a top up card before i left Morocco so i can recharge my sim card up as soon as i land without having to go to Maroc Telecom as the sim is valid 1 year from the last top up ,

I purchased 4x4 Gig cards on the way out this year so will have plenty of data to use when we return next year.

I think i found the correct Maroc Telecom site for data top up ...
555 , top up card number , *3
if you dont put the *3 it tops up the tx and calls only ,
580 to find out how much you have left , answered in Arabic / French

We got ours last year through AIB and I think it was through Norwich Union (as I still call Aviva)......Martin

I've now had 25 Funsters respond either having decided to go (subject to, blah-di-blah) or expressing a firm interest. Not all want to join the "group" (7 as of today; itinerary posted earlier) and no doubt there are lurkers around
waiting to see what happens. Come on guys, let us know - the more interest I've got the better deal I can hopefully get with Carlos, who I will contact again at the end of the week. PM me (conversation) if you don't want to publicly announce your intentions.
Once I've got a deal, I'll PM everyone who has shown an interest telling them how to get the discount and also who else is planning so you can form your own groups if you wish.

Keep us posted on that Terry. Not sure if the prices have gone up since last year? Be nice to get it at last years rate tho,
I gave him a MHF card last year which is on the wall, he did say he would honour that price with any funsters that can show proof of membership?

Tunnel booked Dec 30th and looking forward to meeting up with the group on the 11th 
Still planing to go, will be crossing a few days before you I think but would appreciate group discount if possible. However, do not have Funster card so will give him a little grief.

Travel Insurance done (Bas*ards put it up by £80 on my birthday even though quote was valid for 14 days). Green card ordered this morning.
