Morocco 2016

A recent ranking issued by the British Foreign Office ranked Morocco among the safest countries in the world, alongside European and North American countries.

The FCO ranking describes Morocco as low-risk and the only safe country in the MENA region.

According to the British government website, roughly 500,000 British nationals visit Morocco every year without any issues.

Proposed Itinerary – Morocco 2016

Mon 11 January Arrive at Spanish Campsite – (Probably Estapona again).
Our main reason for using a campsite is to get batteries charged, tanks refilled/emptied etc. and washing brought up-to-date. Also mini-briefing for anyone who wants it.

Wed 13 January Meet at Lidl car park in Algeciras around lunchtime.
To buy ferry tickets and do last-minute shopping.
Overnight here

Thurs 14 January Proceed to port and take 10.00 (approx) ferry to Tangers-Med
Travel to Asilah (around 1hr) to guardian parking. (Cheap fuel about 35km from port)
Visit Maroc-Telecom and sort out internet
Walk round Asilah to “acclimatise” newbies.

Fri 15 January Everybody go off and do their own thing!

Awaiting response now from Carlos. I'll then PM everybody who has expressed an interest.

Terry

Did you get my pm Terry?
Have now, reply on the way (2nd try)

Seem to be having a problem with postings at the moment - I click on Post Reply but it seems to get lost, then reappears.

See, it's happened again!

Do we know if anyone is over in Morocco yet ?.

I understand Bob n Ellie are going over around the 7th December ,

Is anyone else going before xmas ? .

Okay, we're on. I've just sent out a "Conversation" to everybody who expressed an interest, either directly or on the thread, in travelling to Morocco in early 2016 with details of the discounted ferry rate and how to get it. Please note that this rate has been negotiated on behalf of MotorhomeFun and is only available to fully paid up members. If any other member would like to take advantage please let me know - you don't have to travel with us as a group if you don't want, or are unable, to.

I've reviewed my Resource posting and as far as I can tell it is still fully relevant, so anybody who is yet undecided but has a fancy should download a copy and also, as stated before, take some time to browse the "Morocco 2014" and "Morocco 2015" threads.

We've just had our first snow of the winter here in the North East and it makes us look forward even more to January!

:xgrin:Meanwhile, Merry Christmas to everybody, Funster or not:xgrin:

(Crikey, someone's keen - just got the Reply notification come up before I've finished typing!)
