Morocco 2015

So we are coming down the road from Essaouira to Agadir and passing the Atlantica park Sue says"that looks good in the book" "No"says I" we are going to where all the funsters are that we should have come over with on the 15th".We drive through Tagahazoute and nothing............."Maybee I got the wrong place"says I."When we get the internet again I will check untill then lets go to that park place"Now we are here all is revealed 2,236 miles and we miss it all by one day.Oh Please!........................Maybe see some of you soon!--------------Martin,Sue & Caley(y)(y)(y)

Arguably the best camp site in Morocco by far..if we can get back on it when travelling north we will, (part of the 15th group )

Which site are you planning on streaming the rugby from? If it's Sky you will need to VPN back into UK to fool Sky otherwise you will not get a licence using Sky Go.

Let us know site etc and who is playing might join you tomorrow.
Not on Campsite, in parking area across from site with about 50 others. Think they call it the palmaries? Anyway, i have an app my son in law told me about and I can watch all sky,Bt, uk and international sports programmes including films etc. Not tried it here yet as I 'm a little concerned it will eat all my data up so might just listen to 5 live if it's on there. Are you coming into Trafoute.? I'm in the middle of the site near a rocky outcrop with a Berber type tent in it. It would be on your left when you come in. Be aware of the small cement posts sticking up about 12 inches tall. Otherwise just follow well market track and choose a spot. I am only a 5 minute walk from camping Granite for the cassette and happy with location.

The 4x4 tour guy has just returned and offered to take us tomorrow for 250 MAD and we supply our own lunch. Told him 200 MAD with lunch. He walked off well pissed off. He'll be back, the greedy begger.

He took four of us for 250 MAD each, inc lunch. Berber omlette, bread, fruit, water and tea. Great trip.

rubbish update. They are dumping waste on site after all. Saw several people wondering down other end of site with cassettes and told there is a dedicated waste dump. Went looking for it and cant find, cant smell it. However, a German asked if he could borrow my mini trolley to take his waste to the dump tomorrow morning and before I could tell him where to go,
Mena said of course you can (A German shot her dad in the leg in Italy, how's that for forgiveness!) So, I will find out tomorrow when I escort Helmutt Smacker to the dump.
Picture of Lion face as previously agreed below.

It's been a reasonable day here in the desert but my word it's cold tonight. Only 6C!
It's almost as bad as being at home.
Wonderful full moon over the sand dunes though.

Look forward to meeting up with you again. As you come into site and follow track round (anti_clockwise direction) look towards your left and you will see a red and white motorhome near the centre (Helmutt Smacker) we are about 50 feet or so to his right. Plenty of room nearby.

Not a cloud in the sky and the sun is blazing away. it's going to be a good-un today. Just as well, icicles on the top of windows and rubber mat just outside Hab door. Must have got down to freezing last night.

Very cold at Tifnit today. French are up the their usual antics. A big Conc Liner with a Renault Twingo in the boot and a quad bike in the trailer decides on a move to get up to the front. Since the vehicle is like a block of flats, Henri who previously had an uninterrupted view of the village and bay, goes off on one and has to be restrained by his mates from chinning the Conc owner.
Don't you just love the French!

PS Two jeep Safari Toyatas ful of about 12 French turned up. They get out all light their fags then huddle behind the only Sues van to shelter from the cold wind, whilst their guide explains the delights of Tifnit. They then discard the nub ends and get back in their Land Cruisers. C'est la Vie!!

Yeh but I took a dump in one of their handbags whilst they were huddled behind Sues van!

Guardian got a rude awakening this morning, so funny, both he and the shepherd had a good laugh about it though. Finaly agreed price for 4 x 4 trip @250 MAD including lunch. Glad I have a spare battery for my camera, this one has only 15% power left. Of to the town for our weekly shop, hope the Bowser comes in today were almost empty.

We stayed at the thermal baths @ Abaynou. Basic but has all that you want plus restaurant an thermal bath. Mixed from 7pm. Tracy says it has done wonders for skin.

What state is sidi ifni in, is it worth a visit?

Two of the three campsites were obliterated in the November floods. The other isn't much to write home about. Sidi Ifni is a love or hate it place. We weren't too impressed but maybe if the weather had been better.

As Ken says re Sidi Ifni. We didn't hate it but it's not on our list of places to go back too even if it hadn't been half wiped out in the floods.
It's a steep, walk uphill to get to the town and then when you Finally get there, there isn't much to see or do.
French seem to love it though as all the campsites were rammed full last year with people even camping outside the entrance of a couple of them waiting for a spot. Those were the sites that have been washed away though.

Shan't bother then.
