Taghazout square.
Behind the square there is a beach where the local catch is sold each morning. Tuna, shell fish, and slabs that look like sea bream? two for 4 euros, tonight's tea. Some restaurants on edge of beach with some stunning views. Will take Mena there tomorrow for lunch.

Just approaching Essaouira for a couple of days on a campsite to catch up with the laundry. Not sure which campsite yet, will check out Camping Sidi Magdoul and Kaouki Beach, anyone got any recommendations please?

We called in Sidi Magdoul but I think they wanted 70d and no electric so check first if it's back on. We stayed guardian parking right by it 30d next to the beach and a nice walk into Essaouira,

Park on the car park. Nice r, cleaner and flatter

Comedy of Errors - After driving in to Sidi Magdoul and straight back out again, the guy obviously couldn't careless and after sitting there for a couple of minutes he got off his chair and opened the barrier, he started testing the electrics to decide which pitch we could have! :Eeek: After 3 fails we decided to move on, we only wanted the campsite to get the washing done. Went to the aire on the sea front, lovely, this will do but we need water, no water says guardian. No problem go to garage up the road get fuel and get water. But I want a campsite, winged I, I need to do the washing. Off we go to the next one along the coast Kaouki beach. Lovely countryside, lovely beach and lovely campsite. Hells teeth we forgot to top up the dirhams and now only have 20dh. Dig around the van and pull together enough Euros to pay for at least 2 nights here, maybe 3. :clap2:Good grief this touring malarkey is tough!

Next door but one is Horshamjack freshly arrived from Essaouira.

Arrived at Sidi Kouiki this afternoon after spending 3 relaxing days at Camping le Calme "nice site btw" about 17km outside Essaouira
Got back from a walk on the beach 100m away(y)

Concur with dave, that's where the picture of the camel by the van was taken

Sunday! Day of peace! My arse, dog barks at the constant barrage of passing camels, mopeds, Moroccans selling their wares, crabs, donuts, fish, jewellery, biscuits, water, fruit and veg, no end of stuff, but can I find a plumber when I need one to fix my kitchen tap can I fudge, but thanks to Dave and Dave for helping out anyway.
