Morocco 2015

Hi Terry,
We arrived here at Estapona at 4 pm. Left Albir / Benidorm at 9 am and apart for a stop for coffee in The Sierra Nevarda it was a beautiful drive. It seems we are the only ones here at mo. Must advise that the internet is rubbish. I have been to office (seems a nice man ) he said he would adjust the antenna immediately but it is still as bad and it seems there isn't anything he can do. Now we are getting a slow signal by putting up wi fi aerial we bought from that young guy who invented it and sells at Malvern Show. It has been a useful tool but hit and miss depending on where you are. May see you tomorrow

we use lebara.
Loving Suggys reports. We only got 3 days skiing in Terry then the snow melted.
We are well past Barcelona on a lovely sunny day on excellent roads - life is good.
Need to get a Spainish sim later today, what are you guys using?

We hadn,t planned to be there until tomorrow, currently on a sort of aire half an hour away, going to a market. Look for us lunchtimeish. Should be 2 or 3 others arriving as well.

Well that's me not going tomorrow, can't get screen done till 12.45 tomorrow ahhhhhh
Rang up this morning to find out why not heard from them they said couldn't get in touch with the number I gave them, funny I said I've just phoned you on redial. I'd say now plan B but I didn't have a plan A :)
Happy Trails
Dave

Don't worry that's what we normally tell people anyway ;);)
(y)

The Moroccans are famous for their haggle and deal techniques but one lost out back on the 2013 trip when he met me.....
There is a frustrated local at Tagazoute going around with an old phone that i swopped him, so if he knocks your van door, mum's the word.

It was a classic after I left and he was looking around all the other vans for me. !!

Have just arrived at Parque Tropicale and it's a bit smaller than I'd hoped but actually that makes it quite attractive too. Two vans already here and we've earmarked an area for us. However some of the pitches are tight to get onto (sorry Ken) but there are several much larger available which I've sort of earmarked for us too, but would be easier to access the "wrong" way round the site.

So everybody, when you arrive park outside and come looking - we're up to the right at the top - and we'll walk you round. I'll have the radio switched on too - Channel 5, sub-channel 10.

We are poodling down to Algeceras nice and steady, after a sunny day but freezing overnight at Ampudia. Hoping to check out the coastal aires and campsites near Cadiz this weekend.

According to information here . Marjane has been bought out by the moroccans and do not sell alchohol at all . We went to a carrefoure in Essaouria and they are still selling alchohol . Just spoke the english next door and the booze area in the marjane in agadir is now washing powder ....... So stock up ...

We popped into the Marjane in Meknes on the way through earlier in the week, no alcohol for sale there either, but lots of washing powder in the area which looked like it used to be stocked with the booze, just as well we are well stocked up

Holed up in Moulay Besselham (Camping International) gonna stay here two days to get washing done then amble down the coast.. I will look through my notes from 2014 trip for suggestions
Does anyone have the contact for the Jack of all Trades geezer in Agadir?
Had an accident in Portugal and hoping your man can sort it?

The chap you need is Mustafa tel 06 65 72 71 03.

Prices are VERY reasonable. He speaks excellent English and keeps you constantly updated with progress.
Coords will take you to A workshop called Trigano. Mustafa's workshop is at the other end of the row next door to a cafe. Just ask for Mustafa, everybody knows him.

Good aire in the book at Sanlucar de Barrameda, just up the coast from Cadiz. Traditional spanish town.
50 yds from beach and town. Free with waste & water.

We used this aire last year and possibly would have gone back again this time. Water and elsan is obtained from out on the road.

See you guys soon

Colin

What a nice aire this one is, parked with rear lounge facing the sea :-)
Hi sue I think these are them
N36. 10'45 W 005 .26'28
Dave

Ok to meet with you at lidl on wed 14th? Anyone got coordinates please?
Ta very much :)

Sue you are very welcome to join us. we're all so pleased you've decided to come.
N36deg, 10'45" W 5deg 26'28" - these are Carlos' coordinates, just look for the Lidl sign. There are several supermarkets and a MacDonalds too. Note, though, it's not the centre of Algeciras.

If you can be there by 1300 and look out for us - most have got MHFun stickers in the windows - we'll get your tickets and things sorted for you.

Where are you now? We've got 7 vans now at Parque Tropicale and expecting couple more later today or tomorrow, so why not join us?

Looking forward to seeing you.

TerryL

Edit - Busman beat me to it.

@Armytwowheels - how are you managing? I know the garage isn't doing anything until tomorrow but got any more thoughts? Someone has suggested it might be something as simple as the hoses have come off the turbo which is not uncommon on Mercs. You might be able to see if you can get underneath.

We're thinking of you and hope you get it sorted without too much trauma.(y)
