Settling in nicely at Taghazoute.
Met Voyager Stan, Rolly and Sue & Dave with friends.
Seen a few faces from last year, both travellers and locals.
Off to the village for a wander today and on bike to the market at Banana Village tomorrow.
Just had 190l of water for 20dh. Same as a nights rent.
Batteries are showing 14.7 at 10.15.
Had a coffee & soberano.
Life is good.

Well this could turn out a bit of a rush for me, presently in Fuengirola waiting for a new windscreen and its a public holiday today(three kings) hoping it will get fixed tomorrow but they've not been in touch yet then a mad dash to meet Marc (horshamjack) at Algerciras

hi terry , as I told you when we spoke last . ferry from Portsmouth on 14th, and I told dave I wont be going to morocco, but hope to catch him when he finishes there.
hope dave gets sorted with the windscreen... do you know what happened?

Yup, walking distance to Taghazout.
N30°32.230 W009°41.942, but keep it quiet.

We are now in essaouria .medina parking is a no.no. We are down the road behind the dune about 20 vans . 30d night . Should be at tag tomorrow. loads of speed cameras on the road from kenitra today so be carefull.out there .maybe the crime rate is so low in morocco the only thing police have to is keep the roads safe now ... Lol

We had heard about the parking being stopped at that end. Now confirmed!
At least there is parking within walking distance. It's a great town to visit.

Called at the new carefour on the way in and restocked up . Got some BRIGHT ORANGE MAROCCAN SAUSAGES but not DINDE lol .and a cooked chicken £3.50 . Got here just in time to watch the sun go down on the Jimmy Hedrix island . Save us a space . Non snoring please. G n R xx

FEZ !

On a bike forum a couple of bikers have done Morocco and had a good time until they headed to Fez homeward bound. They said they feared to stop in Fez due to the looks they were getting and were targeted by drugs dealers. They claim the area is a drugs growing region. Once they'd cleared Fez a Merc targeted them, tried to pull them over, all the time giving smoking signs, in the end they did a runner.

Don't know how much to read into this, we've never been to Fez, but take care out there.

The Moroccans trawl the rastro's/car boots here buying anything & everything electrical, tools machines etc; I sell them stacks of tat !
I've a Moroccan mate & he'll buy any electrical tools as long as they are branded makes. Wants em all for a euro though !
It is all for reselling in Morocco.

Fez

Made a smart and very speedy exit from Fez earlier this afternoon. We had intended to use the guardian parking overnight, but did not feel comfortable, looks like there is a prestigious visit happening very soon lots of soldiers patrolling with machine guns and even the police on the checkpoints are armed with more then their usual pistols and seem to be checking far more vehicles. Flags everywhere, decided caution far better than valour, now sat at Azoru on a campsite, 147 in the book! Will decide tomorrow on which way next. SE or SW ....... decsions decsions decsions

I second that. Both places well worth a visit and v good site.
We did them last year on recommendations. Let me know if you want coords for the arch.

Hi Simon,That's the problem he caught it too well -Only nutters go around catching stones (touch wood)most people and Max catch balls -Max is sulking because he has caught fleas or ticks and does not like being sprayed etc I will go to my mates farm and see what he uses on his sheep if this stuff does not work today (max dip)

Rang up this morning to find out why not heard from them they said couldn't get in touch with the number I gave them, funny I said I've just phoned you on redial. I'd say now plan B but I didn't have a plan A

Now at Tagazoute , had a run in with Herman next door , ranting on i was blocking his sun , but i wasnt because i checked first because i consider things like that before parking
he has an 8mt hymer plus a 4 wheel trailer still hooked to his van , and a smart car and has put rocks all around " his pitch " which is about the size of germany , and he has now put rope between every tree so no one can park or drive near his area which is now about 20 mt x 15mt,

we are parked on a bit like Malta 5.8mt x 5mt including the awning .
Hey Ho , tomorrows another day , wish Canopus was here to park next to us ... TOTAL ECLIPSE ...yes !

Got ticket today from Carlos .Said 220e told him that I had an email from him saying same as 15th mob and also mentioned deal that Terry sorted! showed him MHF referral card bingo 200e He took my referral card and wrote 200e on it and pinned to the wall
He asked if everyone from Fun has same card I shrugged my shoulders and said possible. He has said anyone that shows the card will get for 200e in future
He also pulled me outside for private chat and pointed to all the other vans around and said if asked tell them 220e
Left with a bottle of cider and a loaf of chocolate cake and a Bon Voyage

Getting windscreen fixed as we speak so off in the morning to Ronda way was going to call in to the campsite most prob also 11 th so should see you there, I have a ACSI card so should be ok.
Ok to tag on to group going to Morroco????
