MOBY GOES TO TURKEY. A tam and pups adventure.

I think it's just an age thing, my 7 month old is still eating out of a slow feed bowl, he has no competition, but was 1 of 13. I'm sure he'll slow down a bit when he's older.
My cocker spaniel is almost 9 years old and still eating out of a slow feed bowl otherwise he just inhales the food and starts choking 🤷‍♀️

Ela was a nightmare with food for the first year but she eats much slower now even leaves some on occasion which is fantastic. So hopefully Blu will be the same , bowls aren't big enough though to put stones in it . But I'll figure something out

She might swallow the stones Tam (unless they are really big) as she is used to eating anything. I used to pass a guy walking his two labs every day one day he only had one with him, turns out his boy swallowed a stone and it killed him.

Yeah had it been a boy I thought sparky might have been good. Not sure for a girl though
I like the name. I think a girl can be Sparky. She would quickly morph into Sparky Sparkles for me. My dear departed Maximus was Max mouse danger mouse or Maximus troublemuss.

Yeah that's why I can't do it. I'm annoyed I gave away the slow feeder I had. I doubt I'll find one on my travels but you never know. Breakfast is OK I'll hand feed her. But dinner time I usually put water in and some fish or meat.

Agreed… that’s why I suggested a LARGE stone 🤔

Have you got a washing up bowl you could feed her from? A small bowl keeps the food all together so she can grab big mouthfuls and just swallow whereas in a big bowl the food scatters so she has to chase it. My friends dog is very greedy and when he stays with us that's how I feed him. If you did get fleas on any of them a rinse in vinegar and water kills and repels fleas without chemicals and is effective

Well our first night went well. Pup slept the whole night 12am till 8am

Took them all out for morning drainage , she did a poo but still no pee. But had to take her out again after her breakfast as she gave a wee whine and she did a pee then.

Doing well so far she is. Back sleeping again now lol.

There is a cartoon series very popular with kids!

You could try giving her half, let her settle then give her the second half,
Good idea. We still do this with our 6 year old. It's good for her self control to sit & wait. The first half we use a snuffle mat, that's supposed to satisfy her scenting instinct as well as slowing her down.
Great to hear how well Blu seems to have settled in. Loving the new chapter of the journey.
