MOBY GOES TO TURKEY. A tam and pups adventure.

Tam, just been reading up on this charity after seeing a news article of a dog missing for 12 days over Christmas and was found by this charity. The dog was trapped by it's lead getting caught up in a hedge. I thought it was something you might like. It's called Drone to Home.

Yes I saw that a few days ago on the television, the dog survived 12 days trapped in the hedge by eating twigs it said. Incredible.

Drone shots of the castle overlooking corinth , we stayed up there last night bit pitch dark and freezing which was not handy for taking a pup out to the toilet lol

I'd left the pup in the van for a sleep after the short walk with all of them and just took the other 3 for a longer walk .... when we got back to the van I peeked through the window to see what she was doing and just sound asleep again

She's got no fear though and has a cheek , she wolfed her own dinner again tonight then tried to tuck In to jade's too , I hoped jade would tell her off as she does if ela goes near it but she didn't so I had to pull the wee stinker out of it. I'll have to keep an eye on her when food about till she realises that she gets fed twice a day now , aswell as snacks in between. Poor bugger has obviously had a task getting food up till now.

She's clever though , on the lead I can get her to come about 70% of the time and to sit about 50% . Which is good going for less than 48 hours . Making a point of spending at least 20 minutes a day doing this as I don't want a repeat of ela.

Anyway a good day all round , I'm going to go to vet with her tomorrow and there's a petstore opposite where ill hopefully get puppy food and possibly a slow feeding bowl.

They're all crashed out again .

Still no accidents in van yet thankfully, I do have to watch her with the attempts at chewing though as she does try with cushions, throws etc . But stops when told no .. I've a couple of chew toys here which she likes

Tam as she walks on lead, sits when told and comes back when called makes me wonder if she did belong to someone?

Certainly making her self at home (y)
She sure is , but that's a good think , it is her home now and it's good that she feels comfortable and welcome. Jade ,milo and ela have been great with her too, I think she's gonna fit in well. First couple of weeks will be hard while we figure things out but will soon be like she's always been here.

Nah she's definitely not been on a lead before. But having 3 other dogs on leads to copy means she's picking it up.

She acts like a bucking bronco at somepoints.

I have been thinking the same, especially when she did not appear for hours. She seems too much domesticated for a young street dog.

Hi Tam, as you are near the Corinth canal crossing, don’t miss the bungee jumping action of the bridge with your drone, will be nice to get some shots. I missed my opportunity as my drone was to weak and no spare batteries. One hell of a experience there, see the jumpers as they pass out, then come back on recoil.

I thought that too but she wasn't being fed and was roaming the streets all day. Anyone who treats a dog like that doesn't deserve to have one in my opinion. Tam's family is now complete
Think we may get the answer to that when Tam gets the vet to check the pup over, if it’s got a chip or not!
Highly unlikely I think. She's Tam's now (y)

By answer I mean if she has a chip fitted already, this being a requirement I believe.
Given the way she was straying even if she was someone’s then they didn’t deserve her.

Having seen how much she sleeps and how she was covered in stinky fish smell I'm pretty sure I now know how she didn't appear for hours.

She's been sleeping in or under a fishing boat.

She's definitely not been sleeping in a house or being fed proper food. Not sure she's had access to clean drinking water before either.

I've not seen any bungee jumping , been at corinth canal twice before but will have a look

Has she had a bath yet ?
Not yet lol. She's had a wash with a soapy cloth and dried. Didn't want to scare the poor dog too much just yet. But a bath will be coming in the next few days. Gotta get the jabs and chip over with tomorrow which she probably won't like . At the minute I'm unsure if she has brown tinges on her legs or if it's from the fishy stuff. She still has a faint whiff lol .

Be careful with the bath stuff. 16 years ago when my pup was new to me he stank as he came from a puppy farm. The first thing we did was give him a bath, big mistake. He was afraid of water for the rest of his life and would cower in the corner if we tried to get him upstairs. It took a long time to convince him that he could come upstairs to just sleep on the bed but whenever we went to the bathroom he panicked we were running the bath for him and would dart downstairs.
