MOBY GOES TO TURKEY. A tam and pups adventure.

I like Sparky but how about one of the names from 101 dalmations? Since you'll soon have that many dogs! I like Perdita, Perdy for short? but not Dipstick or Blob 😁

Tam that would make 3 bitches and one dog? If so wise to give some time before firmly deciding. We once had a nightmare with 2 bitches when the younger started challenging the older who was not firm enough. Eventually my MIL took the older bitch and sadly it was years before she was relaxed with us.

Ela and jade have been through that phase and sorted it out. I'm sure if the new one tries it will sort itself out too.

Ultimately I'm the pack leader and when they overstep I soon tell them lol. There can only be one alpha in a pack. You've just to make sure they know its you .

Tam, are there any dog rescue places in Greece that can help with the costs of having "Blu" vaccinated, registered and spayed? If not this could turn out pretty expensive for you, hoping you can get some help as you are helping to cut back on the stray dog situation over there....plus everywhere else, or should I mention that?;):giggle:
Watch out Turkey, Tams commin!

Ach I'm prepared for the initial costs involved , I've had to do it before with ela and I paid for all that with jade and milo too. She's too young to be spayed yet so that will happen later in the trip . I'll get her passport, chip, dhhp and rabies jabs done in the next few days. I'm hoping she's old enough for rabies as the earliest they will do it is 12 weeks but recomended 16 weeks . I'm not sure how old she is . But if younger than 12 weeks I'd be surprised.

Well we drove on to corinth , I needed water and I thought I might aswell get her used to moving ASAP..... I expected her to be sick and well she didn't disappoint lol. For those of a weak stomach moss the first 2 photos .. for those who haven't just look what this poor pup has been eating. There's leaves , grass, bits of fish , bones, bird feathers you name it in there. So it's probably better out than in .. I knew my fresh cleaned throws wouldn't last lol. But after that she just lay down in the back for the hours drive up here.

Since arriving we've been outside, the other 3 just had a wander and nose about while I tried to get her used to the lead ... and started recall training, I need to really work at this with her as she's not getting to free roam till I have her coming to me and following.

But she's doing well already., she seems to be settling OK.

What's going to be difficult till I get her used to walking on the lead is walking the other 3 .... she's too heavy to carry and have the others on leads . So I'll either have to leave her in the van sometimes while I walk them a bit more or we will have to choose places to walk where jade milo and ela can be off lead and she's on it. But we will get past that in a few weeks. Will take time for everything to adjust and settle but they've all got on well so far which is half the battle

Nice view from our parking spot at the castle in corinth

And you moan about the cost of an alternator, which should last longer than the pups. ;) ;):giggle:

With those eyes it's no wonder you fell for her
She certainly looks very settled in the MH.
If that was the first time she has been on a lead then I think you are on to a winner.
The saga that just keeps giving::bigsmile:::bigsmile:::bigsmile:::bigsmile:

Oh Tam the picture of what she bought up should be enough to see you have done the best thing certainly no one had been feeding her. She does seem to be walking well on the lead and the diversion of getting her settled will help your mind from wondering on to things you don't need to worry about yet.
It's strange how of all the dogs you encounter this little one won your heart..

What a lovely dog and a lucky dog. Tam you do know now you will have to go back to a bigger van now. As the pack is growing 🌟🌟🌟👍
Can't afford a new van now mate I've 4 mouths to feed lol.

But in honesty we have plenty room in here. This van is quite spacious for living space. It's just external storage it's short on really. Inside storage is adequate , I still carry a lot of stuff I don't really need and I'm carrying stuff to do a few jobs on the van yet too. So once that's gone it will free up space. Still no intention to change it at the minute.

Yes she does have the doe eyes lol. A few of the older dogs had that too .

She seems content. And she edges over closer all the time for a cuddle. She likes me that's a good start lol

That’s good as it’s not like you’re gonna have a lot of time for a motorbike now🤷‍♂️😁😁

Well that plan didn't work. We've just been for a walk through the village and found all the other dogs bar the pup... never seen him once so not sure where he is . Hopefully just sleeping somewhere.

Did find these two locked together though so there will probably be another litter of pups soon . It's such a shame . If they would just get the females neutered they would cut down on the amount of strays drastically View attachment 853826View attachment 853827View attachment 853828
The bitch has probably broken down and the dog is going to tow her home.

Yeah I think she's been raking in bins etc and around the fishing boats for scraps . Never seen anything like that in dog puke before. Lots of little sharp bones too so I hope there's none stuck in her insides.
I don't have any puppy food yet so I'll have to give her the same food as the rest for now but I'll soak it first to soften it for her teeth . Gave her a worm tablet earlier but that was before she puked so I might have to give her another one. Still not seen her do a wee yet so will have to keep an eye on her. Hopefully when we next drive she won't be sick but sometimes it takes a few journeys. Jade was the worst I think she was sick for the first 4 or 5 days. Milo only once and ela never once . So fingers crossed 🤞
