MOBY GOES TO TURKEY. A tam and pups adventure.

As for the puppy

Well I'm undecided as yet , my heart says take him and things will work out like they always do.

My head though says give it some thought , sleep on it and go see him again tomorrow. He's a confident wee thing and friendly .

There's pros and cons as always and believe me I'm already thinking of them on both sides.

It's not something I'll just dive in to , I did say no more but I guess you just can't help it when you see something in a dog .

He's cute , but he's a puppy , he will get bigger.

But he'll also be a good guard dog . And I'm sure he would pay his way in cuddles and loyalty

My other 3 all turned out OK

What’s one more? A puppy will focus your mind on something you love - training etc, & you don’t spend your money on wine, women & song (which would be more expensive)! There’s plenty of room in that van for another dog - it’s meant to be!

But the 5.30% seems to be the best I can see for relatively easy access. 30 day notice I can live with but after April I'd not need to withdraw it anyway as one of my other ones will have matured.
That is a good rate, you can get 4.84% with instant access with Chip.

You've not even got to Turkey yet... !
Won't there be strays there too?

Yeah I've seen a few instant access ones . But I won't need the cash for a while anyway . I'm not going to be buying property or another camper while I'm away . So for the bit extra interest I've stuck it in that 5.3% one .

Yes there likely will be.

I wouldn't take a dog just for the sake of it though.. I just like him I love his friendly nature and his colours and I think he's a bit special .

Just a reminder Tam

He’s had no vaccinations and may be too young for the rabies vaccine to get him back into the eu from turkey 🇹🇷.
And of course there’s the 21 days blood titre testing,

But his is a nice dog 🤭

Yeah I know

But

As much as some will disagree , I know lots of folk that's gone in and out of Turkey with dogs and had no checks done or even a look at the dogs . So if I took him I would get his passport etc done and rabies jab before I left Greece which would be at least another 2 weeks yet . So he would have his vaccinations and passport just not the titre test.

When I leave Turkey it will be in to Bulgaria... I've 3 dogs with all proper tests done so there's a good chance I'd have no probs. If I did then I'd have to stay in Turkey a bit longer.

As we seem to be encouraging you... perhaps we should sponsor its food ?

Talking of which... are we re-activating the 'Strays Feeding Fund' ?
When I get to Turkey if I encounter a crazy amount of strays then I may mention the feed the strays thing again if folk want to . In Greece I've just been feeding the ones I have encountered out my own dog food. Not been as many this year.

Which is a good thing

Korfos another of our parking places at far end. Is the old fire truck still there by the bushes?

I know you do not eat out much but neareast taverna is good.
Yes I'm parked next to.the old firetruck which I love. It would make such a good overlander .

Personally I would say don't take him. He looks very happy and healthy and will have a lot of freedom, space and his family pack. You are currently uncertain about your future plans and so is it really best for him to be riding around with 3 other dogs in a van and then potentially a small flat in Scotland. Not judging you just my opinion. I've had my heart strings tugged by a beautiful dog this last 2 days in Morocco. She's so affectionate and gentle but I've watched her going about her day getting food and cuddles off so many people and snoozing in the sun that I think I would not be 'saving her' despite the fact she's clearly had pups.

Helen Ariel I understand your concerns about the puppy but I remember someone on here saying that maybe Ela would be better off taken back to Greece but look how she has thrived and loves her life with Tam, Milo and Jade. She went back to where she was found with Tam and showed no sign of wanting to run off back to that life🤷‍♀️
