MOBY GOES TO TURKEY. A tam and pups adventure.

In leonidio now and again it's mostly Germans....but a different crowd , this is a scruffy lot ...mostly small transit or swb ducato sized vans.. packed to the hilt lol. Skateboards, surf boards , climbing gear , paragliders you name it ....hoodies, baseball hats and trousers hanging aff their arse. You can smell most of them long before you seem them lol.

But a lot more friendly than the ones with the big tanks etc ...at least they say hello etc.

And everyone has a dog or two ... lots of young pups too

Fumes of Mary Joanna fill the air lol.

There's the odd motorhome scattered around too ...

Not that great a park up ... not a very scenic town but just a one night stop over .

Couple of pics from the road here and a couple of leonidio... sun went down behind mountain so it's a little dull

Tam

It is many years since I was in there with my boat.

From Kyparrisi did you drive the coast road or drive inland?

I followed the coast up the new road that they don't put on the map.

If you can fit in an old Fiat 126 Minxy, not sure you'll be able to reach :ROFLMAO:
Even our 6'8" friend fitted in mine although I'm only 5'4" but don't underestimate the 'reach' of a lass from Hull, however just in case that's why I was going to bring a few ๐ŸŸ so if I couldn't actually reach you I could just throw them at you individually ... hmmm ... might have to see if there are any intact swordfish for sale at our fishmongers!!! :giggle:

That person who had the totally unwarranted and ignorant go at Tam started a new thread complaining called 'Why Stopped'. This has now vanished! Hope he has too!
Why is it always people with numbers in their username that are weird? ............ oh, hang on a minute ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚

Noisiest Park up I've ever been on in Greece these muppets with their feckin sliding doors.

I'm gonna go out and give each of them a bit paper and a pen In a minute so they can write themselves a list of what they need from inside or outside the door so they only have to open it once.

Never in the history of all the feckin campers I had with sliding doors did I ever need to go in and out so feckin much

That used to be a dirt road and only really used by the Port Police if they wanted to inspect a boat mooring in Kyparissi.

Is it tarmaced now?
Aye its brand new ...well sort of as it was there in 2020. But I don't think many know its there . A lot drive up to kyparissi then double back and go inland. I found it by accident the first time. But I read somewhere that the only way tourists could get from leonidio to kyparissi before was by a boat called the blue dolphin. Apparently the 2 towns don't get along and they compete for tourists so the road isn't shown on the map ... don't know if its true or not but certainly if you look at the map there's no main road shown along that coast.

Here's the map

Only 2 roads shown .

Yet this is my polarsteps and the road I took

You hardly see a car on it. Perfect new road lovely surface not a pothole on it. Yet not a sign in kyparissi telling you its there lol Best kept secret in the peloponnese..

Fecking hate woosh bangs I can never understand why they have to keep slamming their doors until one or two in the morning.

A couple of years ago we were on a camper stop near Valencia, a CB on one side of us with 3 kids the other side a woosh bang with an elderly couple.
You would expect the one with kids to be the noisy one, nope the it was the elderly couple banging their door until one in the morning.

You do know one day youโ€™re going to finish up with one, when youโ€™re old and doddery and canโ€™t pass the medical for 3500 ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜„

What do you mean when, I already am.
If I do it will have an electric door.

If I do it will have an electric door.
I viewed a Hymer Grand Canyon on a Merc with an electric door at Tyne Valley motorhomes, got in through the cab door as the electric door wouldnโ€™t open because the cab battery was totally flat.
They put a charger on the cab battery whilst I was there,it was still charging when I left, what a bloody stupid idea. Not only need enough juice to start the van but to open the main door too๐Ÿ˜„

Well that's a good think ....it will act like a deterant . If you open the feckin thing more than 5 times in 24 hours it locks you out with a flat battery ๐Ÿคฃ

Pics of the day .

We're now in the port of Agios Andrea's, another of my favourite wee places. Weird thing is when I was here 2 years ago there were 3 stray dogs that lived here and quite a few cats. They all seem to be gone ...only one stray dog that wasn't here before . None of them were old but also not that young. I'm curious what happened to them.

3 big French trucks here makes a difference from Germans.

Maybe they've had visits from wayward Scottish people who have 'kidnapped' them to give them a better life!

The frenchies all fecked off while we were on our morning walkies so I've been the only camper here the rest of the day. Busy wee place this though there's always folk coming and going , mostly auld guys who come to meet their pals and have a natter at the boats . There was folk down painting the tree trunks today and hanging up greek flag bunting all around the harbour. Not sure if it's for a specific reason or just smarting the place up for summer... but seems a bit early. But either way it looks nice. Dogs have had a good play around today and we've been on a few good walks so they're all knackered now. Had 2 strays with us on our morning walk the brown one from yesterday and an auld white one that might be one of the ones that I saw here 2 years ago . Hard to tell. They wandered off after our walk so I've not seen them again today. ... but its nice when we get strays joining us for walks , I think it does my lot good, certainly helps them socialise and ela was enjoying going exploring with the big brown dog . Milo still yaps at them to start with but in the end he enjoys having pals along for a walk too.

Had the drone up for a bit too.
