Yeah I have 18 years yet before I can retire. I will probably have to work a proper job again between now and then .

I paid all I was allowed for my missing years. I get just short of the maximum pension.
If I live another 4 weeks I break even. Fingers crossed ha ha

It's not just buying it, you have to spend 6 months a year there too, so depending on where Tam might find work, it may or may not leave time to travel.

Not necessarily, it depends on what the NI rates were for each tax year, that's why sometimes they drop in cost when the govt reduce NI, eg 2019/20 it was £824 but for 2020/21 it was £795, not a lot in it but it can go down.

For 2022/23 it was £824 however the govt has cut NI rates wef January 2024 so it could actually be cheaper for the remainder of 2023/24 and 2024 onwards.
