Spain very expensive though unfortunately. Portugal is still an option . Although I have to admit I like the peloponnese more than I like Portugal.

A big contrast to what you could buy in Scotland, or anywhere in the UK.

We've never been to Greece, closest we got it about 3/4 of the way down Italy, but from the photos you've posted it looks very beautiful and I would love get my kayak out on those seas, lakes etc ... pure bliss.

Well you don't know what you're missing Mel. The peloponnese is so beautiful and if you do it out of season finding parkups is not a problem .

I assume you know that in Portugal when you have to swap your UK driving licence for a a Portugese one they will not include C1 if it was obtained through 'grandfather rights' and not a test.

I didn't know that. The thing is a lot of the stuff I heard about Portugal has to either be wrong or there's ways around it. I'd heard you couldn't drive a UK registered car anymore etc too . But I follow a few folk on Instagram that have bought land etc out there a few years back now and still have and use their UK registered campers... its so confusing

I work for IBM and my corporate laptop is letting me in to that site without problem, you must have a very picky security program!

That would be handy . I've not looked in to anything yet I'm still at the dreaming stage. But I have emailed to see if I could view both those houses.
