Hope all goes well for ferry tomorrow and you get to garage and then vet hopefully in that order.

Catch up with you tomorrow. Sleep well and hope Ella is a bit better too.
It's jade that's not well.

Thar said she's a little perkier this morning, she's still not right but she did come get a cuddle this morning and I was giving her a massage ... and she had her tail up again for a little but when outside.

Hopefully she's on the mend , I do think she's probably gave herself a knock on that beach we were at further north when she was running around with Ella... Ella can sometimes play a little too hard with the other 2 ,I don't think she realises her size and she's always so bloody bouncy ...she pulls me off my feet at times too.

But I'll get her checked out tomorrow anyway just to make sure

If Jade is brighter, eating well and happy going out for walks your thoughts on a bump and possible bruising is probably nearest the problem.
Bruising is not nice and if it’s deep it can take quite a while to go off. If her tail is making an appearance occasionally now she could be recovering.
Does she jump up onto the seats and can she get in /out of the van ok?
Give yourself enough time if you are going to the Vet as they may well keep her in For observation!

We've made it to the ferry terminal and have our tickets etc. They going to start loading around 11am

I did attempt to go to a lidl this morning before getting here as I wanted a few things to eat on boat . But the van was making horrendous noises and the satnav took me a merry dance through the centre of town so I gave up and retreated to the port as I don't want to risk getting stranded. So we've made it here . Think I'm the only motorhome going on it's all lorries. It's going to be a long day . But Greece awaits and hopefully we get this issue sorted out tomorrow. Off for a walk around the port then I'll need to make some sandwiches etc. Not sure if I'll be able to take dogs in to any of the places on board. Even going to the toilet may be a challenge lol

We've had a wee walk around, checked out our tub ... soon be time to say arivadercia italia , there's 3 UK pheonix tour busses here waiting to board too , one other motorhome now too by the looks of things. It's the same boat I was on when I went this route in 2020 with Toby the hymer. Don't know why they stop the camping on board end of October it was a great way to do it. Much better than this way when I've to piss about on deck for 9 hours .

I really hope they don't have me doing lots of reversing as it's making a lot of noise from this wheel this morning it's screeching and giving the odd bang . The garage is only 5km from the port on the other side and there's a parking spot on park4night on route so I'll aim for there when I disembark.

I'd try and tell them you've no reverse gear. Chances are they'll find a spot you can just drive forward to.
I did. summat like that on the hull Zeebrugge ferry on Harley!!
All my mates were directed up the steep wet slippy ramp on to the mezzanine floor and I explained to the deck hand that my clutch was knackered and he put me on the bottom and we were first off waving to them all as we disembarked🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Btw way it wasn’t knackered😁😁

Usual boarding chaos ...they waved me through first start entering boat then someone else waves no go park over there , park over there and someone else says no park over there . The barstewards have had me reversing twice already and I'm still not on the boat. They're reversing all the trucks on at the minute so I'm assuming they're going to have me reversing on last so we are first off. Either way I'm going to have to either reverse on or reverse off . Bloody typical . And van not liking it

I think its all to do with local maritime authority regulations Tam

Have a good crossing. (y)

Pete

I had found a nice cosy corner inside where we could get comfy then some bloody waiter chucked us outside. So it's going to be an even longer day . And the worst part is the camper is on the top deck and less than 30ft from us . I can see it from where we are sitting.

Haven't seen any kennels on this boat so not sure where they expect folk to sit for a 9 hour crossing with dogs if only 2 allowed in a cabin . It's a bit shit really
Can you ask at the stewards desk? As the woofers aren't exactly big. It'd be a cash sale (for the staff party) so might get away with it. Worth asking 9h is a long time in the cold! Superfast.com site says you can travel with 5 pets ?

Can you not just put the blinds up and stay in the van? I won't tell anyone if you don't. :giggle:

Pete
If it wasn't 9 hours I would have done. If I ever di this one again I'll be doing it overnight .

View attachment 840587Superb photo! Sadly lost the last of my pair of terriers this year. We're trying a year without dogs. Not sure we're going to make it.
Good luck, I lasted 3 weeks before my search began and had a new wingman in 3 months. I decided even if I could get on a plane and jet off for a couple of weeks there would still be 50 dogless weeks left in every year!

Sorry for your loss, but as the two
posts above it’s not easy, after we lost our beloved rescue Bulldog Martha, we lasted 3 weeks before looking on the Bulldog Rescue site again when we saw our future rescue Dolly coming from a terrible place, a place of your worse nightmares, we fell in love with her and now over two years in, she’s still loved every minute of the day and I’m sure she loves us just as much, so as above good luck with the Year off👍
