Good spot. Why is the door a different colour, Tam?
Just fading in the sun, same as the front “cab” section has, both same colour. Why is the door a different colour, Tam?
It's grp same as the front nose .. the rest is aluminium. Getting the door painted in Morocco to match the sidesWhy is the door a different colour, Tam?
It will when paintedJust fading in the sun, same as the front “cab” section has, both same colour.
Add to that the rear of the van was in the barn out of the sun.
Tam might be able to get the front to come up a bit but doubt it will return to what it was originally
Yeah I'm looking forward to cleaning it up , it should come up nice . Bumper etc will get painted in Maroc. If the front end doesn't polish up that will be painted too so it matches the sides. Light surrounds going white too and new headlights. And the full underside cleaned up and paintedYou’re the man to do it
My carthago has one from newThat gutter strip above the cab door may indicate that it’s leaked and they’ve tried to cure it.
Or they were fed up with getting dripped on when opening the doorThat gutter strip above the cab door may indicate that it’s leaked and they’ve tried to cure it.
There's one over the hab door too . I think it may be standard . Certainly been on there a whileThat gutter strip above the cab door may indicate that it’s leaked and they’ve tried to cure it.
Yeah we're just getting a kebab lolGlad you've made it in one piece. Is Gary there with you? Look forward to watching things unfold
Maybe a link to some post/ URL that has the full detail?Hey Tam Northernraider
If you're at a loose end, any chance of compacting your signature..
It takes ages to scroll on passed.
Uncle Lenny's and jumartoo's trip lists are nice compact.
Roll on the paint party in Tafraoute although you'll probably have it all done by the time I get out in JanuaryYeah I'm looking forward to cleaning it up , it should come up nice . I'm not going to Maroc till after New yearRoll on the paint party in Tafraoute although you'll probably have it all done by the time I get out in January
Maybe it is standard then I’ve seen loads of aftermarket ones on garages, quite a few on Clou liners aftermarket ones to try and cure leaks. There's one over the hab door too . I think it may be standard . Certainly been on there a while
There is a little upstand on roof edges but it stops about 5 inches before the rise of the front cap join, you open the cab window a stick head out and get soaked a bit of guttering help a bit. There's one over the hab door too . I think it may be standard . Certainly been on there a while
Yeah this one has a gutter fastened over the passenger window probably for that reasonThere is a little upstand on roof edges but it stops about 5 inches before the rise of the front cap join, you open the cab window a stick head out and get soaked a bit of guttering help a bit.
Surely that’s not standard firmest?Yeah this one has a gutter fastened over the passenger window probably for that reason View attachment 940325
But none of them standard fitting on that era though Martin?I moulded a nice fibreglass channel that caught the water off the roof and channelled it down the front of the side windows, the added bonus was it caught water off the screen and stopped it soiling the side windows.
Yeah this one is a bit rough and ready I'll have to see what I can come up with that's a bit neaterI moulded a nice fibreglass channel that caught the water off the roof and channelled it down the front of the side windows, the added bonus was it caught water off the screen and stopped it soiling the side windows.
Very common on A Classes.I had to put drip strips on my hymer b544 so you didn’t get dripped on from door and side windows….
It’s poor design in my opinion the older Hymers like our first 2 had a lovely gutter right down both sides. All designed and built in from new, you can tell the aftermarket ones a mile away.Very common on A Classes.
