All 6 tyres matching dated week 32 2020 . Saferich m&s , budget tyres around £89 each fitted. They'll do for now but I'd want to change to all season later on .
Interesting that all the tyre valves are in the centre of the wheel trims..

More underneath photos and engine gearbox etc . I think that metal frame was for an underslung tank which is no longer there so I will unbolt and remove that rusty old frame few photos of the generator too. The exhaust needs replaced I think.

I was having a look around the same van today Tam and it looks big, how’s little Milo going to get up them steps, I just about got me little stumpy’s up there to look inside…😆

I did discover though that I can sleep length ways in the garage and have enough room for a little bedsit in there…😎
We had our friends son camp in our garage on route to a festival once. Worked well apart from the fact that our mattress just floats above the garage and he was farting all night so it wafted up to us. Won't be doing that again!

Other lockers , electrics etc, service hatch for waste and electric hook up etc. Original jack ,wheel chocks , tool kit etc . There's an unopened iveco first aid kit. Fire extinguisher and emergency light and warning triangles , sog kit on toilet and 2 cassettes

And finally some body photos , showing some of the areas requiring attention and just overall condition..I think it's very good for 20 years old . If the satellite dish is too old and not use able I'm going to remove it as I would put the solar over the rear end of the van then

That screen looks like a bus screen so if a replacement ever needed good be easy to get.
It's massive innit. Definitely the biggest I've had on any van . But I think the Flair isn't as ugly as the arto lol ...

It’s going to take a few weeks just for you to clean it all!

I feel a bit sad that it was obviously once someone’s pride and joy…all the little hooks, quirks and fettling things we do on our vans which make them right for us..one day a new owner comes along and thinks “what’s that for?”.

I’m itching to get the curtains and nets in the wash and rip the carpets out.
Inside will come up so well but underneath is all blue jobs to me…

Yes it needs thoroughly cleaned before I can move in which will be a bit of a pain as I'm not sure where I can get both vans together other than his storage yard but then there's insurance issues for moving them but I'll see how it pans out . I may have to go to the yard clean it there and move my stuff over then drive moby to Jackie's and come back for dolittle

Tam, thanks for those photos. I bet when you got underneath you were well pleased with the general condition. Only a few areas you may want to clean up and protect.

The inside is just a bigger version of out Arto and seeing it I wish I had bought the Flair based on what I know now, but 13 years ago it was my first MH and I thought I was in for enough money then, in case I did not like the MH or the lifestyle, but fitted in with both.

You might have to spend a bit to get the electrics to meet your touring style to run all the toys but it will be worth it.

Yes the underside looks worse than it is as the person who's been tasked with treating the corrosion mentioned in previous advisories hasn't bothered to clean anything up but just sprayed an underseal stone guard type substance over the top. And it just comes back. It's all solid but needs the bubbling bits rubbed down before being painted with something like hammerite. Moroccans will sort that out for me.

If I can salvage the generator that'll be a bonus if not then I'll need to add some solar

And for those bored of van photos here's some of stonehenge ... without paying £25 lol. Feckin ridiculous charging people to see stones thousands of years old that were left here for everyone. Since when do they allow people into the stones?

Last time I went you had to keep to the path.

Anyway, back to the van, was that a spare cassette upside down in the garage?

Jeeso ... 04.10 here

About an hour ago I get woken up ..woman screaming help help help me ..then a load of banging then ohh help I'm on fire, fire ,fire ...well I jumped out of bed staggering about half asleep . Got me shorts on grabbed torch and fire extinguisher and out the van. Woman behind me similar age in a self converted transit , smoke belting out of it but no sign of flames but stinking of melting cables etc . 2 or 3 other half naked people coming out now .

Anyway her battery is under the bed , lifts the bed up and jeeso all the wiring is like 2 core speaker wire it's that thin... battery terminals all rusty just an absolute mess big length of wire running to back of her van has melted to everything she has dumped in there . So for safety I just pulled the positive terminal off the battery .

The van is stinking and full of smoke , no smoke alarm , no co2 alarm no fire extinguisher, woman on her own with a van she bought off someone who'd converted it themselves a few years back and knows nothing about it. She's bloody lucky to be alive.

Anyway there's now a few long haired weed smoking guys assisting her to clear up all her stuff I had to throw out her van. I've Said goodnight and I'm off back to bed .....

No one harmed and no vans lost but feck what a way to be woken up

strewth, she's had a lucky escape and also very lucky to have you around too..
our hero..

hope you manage a bit more sleep now..

After all this time you've got to a stage in life when you can enjoy having a new MH ... and still end up working on ancient ones!

Back in the country for 3 days ……what a Guy🦹‍♂️🦹‍♂️🦹‍♂️🤴

Tam when you get the van, get those carpets out of it and either replaced or professionally cleaned (cost about £50) they will harbour a lot of dirt & bacteria and are also a source of your mold smell, they look like tufted carpets but if you do decide to replace them buy looped pile carpet and get the edges binded very easy to clean and don't hide as many nasties 👍

Northernraider - your new van looks amazing and despite being 20 years old it's in great condition judging by what we can see in the photos. It looks very up-to-date and modern. I especially like the curtains. However, what a stupid place to put the toilet roll holder. With my lumbago there's no way I could twist round to reach it and what's more the paper will get wet from splashes from the washbasin. Also, what's with the toilet brush at your feet? Who uses a toilet brush in a motorhome toilet? (I knew I could turn this into a toilet thread eventually!!!)

Nice one Tam!
If you're going to name the van it should be 'Jackpot' - you've certainly hit it with this one.
Glad you have the cab door (y)
Imagine if the hab step broke without one.
Exciting times. !
All the best
Vic
