Looks like you are going to need some headlight units Tam Northernraider this is my post from a few (lots of) years back.

Well my lights turned up today from Opie Oils Main beam unit with integral sidelight including Halogen H7 bulbs £68.12 all in including delivery, thats OK in my book just need to fit them now.

The Hella part number is 1K0 008 191-007
I'm surprised it passed the MOT with them like that, mine weren't as bad when I got told it wouldn't pass.

Did you not get hassled sending the drone up?
The 2 fat security guys would never get to me in time lol. There's no signs to say it's not allowed and they have no control over the airspace. As long as I launch and land outside their perimeters and keep it at least 50 metres above any people it's OK

That’s correct, however, you can get direct access to the stones by arrangement (you have to pay them of course) with English Heritage, you go in for one hour before opening time. Security guard with you to make sure you don't do any damage. I go most years, although I would suggest it’s not a value item unless you have a real vs just curious, interest in the monument
Every bus load coming in the people are getting right in among the stones. There's about 100 folk in there right now.

Obviously ignoring the ropes to keep them away from the stones.

Yes I'm surprised too and no previous mention of them . Will see what happens today as it gets tested at 10.30 , if it goes through with no fails I will be suspicious as the wiper blades are knackered for a start ... I'm expecting a couple of minor fails and a few advisories.

Wiper blades, battery insecure , small hole in inner wheel arch , possibly ball joint rubbers, few bulbs .

We shall find out if the mot guy is a friend of the sellers or not lol.

But overall I'm not fussed as long as it has the years mot as I'll be tidying everything up anyway as I want it nice

Brilliant thread once again Tam. You should definitely write a book (in English not Jockanese). I'm 100 per cent sure you would profit, cos there's no other like you. You could get some sort of help, ghost-writer or such, but you write with ease yourself anyway. I'd love to tell people, oh Tam the author, he's a mate of mine!
No sure if you missed something on the photographs maybe behind the headlights or under the door mat ha ha. See you soon (y) :giggle:

Ah, that explains your funster name! Have you been to the ones in Ireland, especially New Grange?
Just a quick response so as not to detract from the thread. I visit sites all over Europe, it combines my other interests in travel and walking and has made for a busy, 11 post retirement, years. I enjoyed Newgrange along with many other sites in Ireland, Carrowkeel being my favourite. Have a good trip to Scotland, sure the rain will pass

Wow. When we visited it was free and very few people around. Just how many years ago would that be??

We have some great Dolmen and Necropolis in Spain, most, if not all have free entry.

It’s a little goldmine, I remember going to Westminster Abbey about 10 years ago, there were people shovelling £20 into the donation box, Americans, Chinese the lot, I was amazed. It was if it wasn’t real money and they couldn’t wait to get rid.
I hung around ages with a long ruler but it was never quiet enough to put my plan into action😄

So nothing really, less than you expected I bet.
If it was me I wouldn't hassle the bloke about it. Just get him to do the cambelt and snatch his hand off. (y) (y) (y)

NT England do at any rate according to the EH page.
Apologies for the confusion - you are indeed correct, NT members can have free access!

We visited in the van about five years ago and I thought they wanted us to pay(we're NT members), but perhaps I'm mistaken or the system has changed? 🤔

Sorry!

Yes, one of my favourites is the magnificent complex at Antequera, you need a ticket to enter, however, you don't pay anything for it!

I thought they might have mentioned the corrosion to the tops of The Rear Suspension Air Bags, plus traces of the rubber bags perishing.
It also looks like those brake callipers have not been off or serviced, cleaned in a fair few years, which should be an easy task for Tam.
The Brake servo under the bonnet has lots of rust arround its edges, but it must cosmetic as it seems to be working OK, it just looks dodgy.
I wonder what the sales guy will do now? Fix it or reduce it further?
Good Luck Tam.
PS: Great quality Fish & Chips for 2, over here in Frimley £16, thats 2 medium Haddock, I large Fries at £4, never found a place as good anywhere, especially Scotland, Grimsby, they queue out the door & down the street on Friday Nights.
