If that fails can't you get a ferry to Lefkada.Tam bite the bullet and offer to help, he might know of places you could go
Surely it would be Captain Tam and his Muttely CrewGreat idea Dutch 68 I love it! And it's something I would of also suggested although I know from experience that Tam doesn't have the greatest of sea legs, but I would love to see the pics of captain Tam & his Motley crew!
That would be priceless hope he takes you up on your suggestion
Four dogs in a bloody boat, I certainly wouldn'tSurely it would be Captain Tam and his Muttely Crew
Not a chance. I can't be arsed with ignorant folk. Besides it looks like he's been here a while, probably not happy there's another van turned up.Tam bite the bullet and offer to help, he might know of places you could go
That was my plan anyway... but had hoped to spend at least a week on kefaloniaIf that fails can't you get a ferry to Lefkada.
Sorry its not working out on Kefalonia Tam, it is what it is, don't think what you can't do and do what you can, get on the ferryThat was my plan anyway... but had hoped to spend at least a week on kefalonia
Sorry Dutch 68 but I think your missing the point. Tam does not want a lovely stroll with the rich, nor somewhere to have a drink and people watch and definitely somewhere that is a pain for a motorhome, he's looking for a quiet place for him and the pooches to have a chill out and spend a pieceful nightHave a look in the far north, Fiskardo is how the rich and famous do it lol, nice for a stroll and plenty of quiet area’s up north,
Will be busy but Assos peninsula is very pretty, it’s tiny and a pain with a motorhome , but a good lunch spot on the tiny harbour
Got to drive through the rough before you find paradise, the island is for tourist beach lovers, is there not anywhere inland that might be better..? But unfortunately there won’t be water and perhaps hotter….
It's beautiful...but no more beautiful than the mainlandAnd you're complaining....
Not sure ...but that was a rule asking to be broken that was at a dead end I drove down trying to access a beach .Why no photos or video allowed? Someone famous live there?
Yeah it is lovely , there's no denying that. It's just harder to find quiet spots than it was on the mainland. Lovely for a week or 2 in a hotel though. If you just want to sunbathe.Looks pretty idyllic tbh Tam. Scotland’s unseasonably cold and dreich just now … blue skies look stunning.
Aye , I'm not sure if zante would be better with a camper. It's probably the Same although I liked it on package holidays. It’s info for future travels Tam, you’ll know and others will learn that it’s not so accommodating….
Who's Michael mosley? What was that island that Michael Mosley died on. It looked a shite holiday destination just rocky hills and small beaches.
I am not missing the point, I understand the need and desire for peace and quiet, that does however not mean that it wouldn’t be enjoyable to have an hours stroll through a pretty place with the dogs on a lead, both Assos and Fiskardo are places you don’t really want to miss when you are on the island, and when people make suggestions it is obviously to the OP to do whatever he likes …….Sorry Dutch 68 but I think you’re missing the point. Tam does not want a lovely stroll with the rich, nor somewhere to have a drink and people watch and definitely somewhere that is a pain for a motorhome, he's looking for a quiet place for him and the pooches to have a chill out and spend a pieceful night
