MOBY GOES TO TURKEY. A tam and pups adventure.

I found you very sociable and amicable, it must be all them other feckers! Lol

I used to think it was everyone else .... but I'm the common denominator lol so it must be me.

And maybe because I do spend so much time on my own I'm not as diplomatic as some might expect.

Or I'm getting like my mum and the older I get the less I bother about other folks feelings lol. If they're being an ass I just tell them to feck off.

I really do try to avoid conflict ...I hate it.
I don't mind debating and arguing a point etc , not always the best at getting my point across. But I get to a point where I just think ....feck off.

I spent years in jobs with asshole bosses where I had to do what they said with no choice ... and had relationships with a few assholes etc too where I apologised for stuff that really was their fault just to keep the peace.

But its different now ... I don't have to answer to anyone .. and I'm used to that.

Clint Eastwood in gran torino is how I'm becoming .... I actually find myself growling under my breath at some folk . Lol

Did smile a bit about you calling beautiful Blu thick, but she is only a pup.
Our friends wheaten terrier, was eventually, by his owners, described as having the memory of a gnat. They were very experienced dog owners, but Murphy just couldn't be trained, within seconds of learning something, like sit or stay, he had no idea what it meant. He also ate their brand new mattress, at least a good portion of it and deposited the result on what was left of it 🤣 Used to be described as brain damaged, he kept us entertained for years.

People aren't going away and you're living your life in public. It seems to make you pretty unhappy. Choices are remove yourself from the public places that are putting you on edge or learn a different mindset/way of interacting so that you don't get stressed out or upset all the time. I found living in public stressed me out. I like people and am generally easy going but I need privacy and time away from people so full timing in carparks etc doesn't suit me. Mindfulness and various books/audiobooks i've come across are useful for changing perspective on things and coping with things that stress you out. There are also some other ways to change mindset/ negative brain patterns (neuroplasticity)and connect with people better which are best talked about in person as in the Western world we've stupidly outlawed these ancient practices of growth and healing for the mind.

Does it cover people who clearly don't like dogs ... approaching and complaining about dogs?

What they unfortunately outlawed was being able to just draw a pistol and shoot the son bitch 😁

Hector starting as he intends to go on in life... breaking all the rules! Lol (the others two just go with the flow) 🐶🐶🐕 we're off to Blighty to get some solar 🌞

Poros is a quiet little place, if you take the coastal road south a few miles out of Poros you will come across some beautiful hidden coves , very good for snorkelling 👍

Yeah ...my plan is to go clockwise from poros.... Will see what I find and how time goes.

More aircraft photos please Tam, or baclava, Canadair CL 415 water bomber, if you are interested.
There were 2 of them flew around in circles over kyllini ...think they did 3 or 4 loops and were really low.

Have to say guys I'm not impressed with kefalonia so far .. beaches aren't great but are still mobbed with tourists, parkups are few and far between and what there is isn't great. Lot of rubbish about. Apart from the flowers it's not pretty so far either . I've followed the coast all the way from poros and I'm now at a spot at the end of the airport runway as its the first place I've been able to park . Its dull , cloudy , odd spits of rain but 35 feckin degrees and finding somewhere to take the dogs to the water is proving very difficult. Can only hope it gets better further round but I'm not confident. With the sheer amount of hire cars I can see every bit of beach being the Same.

I think it was a bad idea .. its holiday season after all.

This is why I prefer winter travel . I'm too hot the dogs are too hot ,the camper is way to hot. The ground burns your feet so the only place we can go when it's like this is in the water. But finding a bit away from people is difficult.

And now I've got feckin planes to listen to

West coast will be better for a beach. Myrtos was quiet when we were there (some years ago now).

And if you go to Lefkas avoid the tourist spots on the east coast.

I am told Greece is unseasonally hot.

Incidentally I haven't seen another camper since arriving here .
One of the boys I work with is currently on a cruise and was in Athens yesterday and the Acropolis was closed to tourists due to the current heatwave, so mind yer heed big yin! 🌞🥵

Yeah I've had several alerts on my phone over the last week , there hasn't been rain in months so everything is very dry. Just restricts what you can do. Dogs not keen on walking either and can't leave them in the van on their own when it's so hot.

The first year I did Spain for 11 months I remember this and didn't like it then .

Harsh reminder lol. I'll no be travelling hot countries in summer again . I'm normally home by May at the latest.

Getting spits of rain now and then but doesn't come to anything.. I can't believe I'm saying this but it would actually be nice to get a good heavy rainstorm for a few hours , wash the dust of my van and maybe cool the air down a bit . It was up at 28° this morning at 09.30 which is insane. We had a bit of a swim and paddle before we left poros but by the time I got the dogs dried and sorted to move I was sweating and hot again lol.

I miss that wee river at elea beach .

Maybe your post #6,528 explains that.

Yeah it's uncomfortably hot ...hard to sleep too. Think I've had 4/5 hours at most for over a week now .

Maybe that explains your grumpy mood and railing against people for the last few days.

I have only been to the island for 45 mins. at a time, flying one of the 'fecking planes' you complain about, but I never really fancied it. Whether in my boat or MH I have always preferred Greek islands without airports, except those small ones that can only take domestic flights on small turboprops from Athens.

Can't understand all the complaints really , you have wheels, why not just come back, nothing says you have to stay there.

They are water bombers Tam, land on water and scoop it up, dump it on wildfires then return and repeat. (y)
