MOBY GOES TO TURKEY. A tam and pups adventure.

You and Tam just don't understand France.
It's not a place blat through you need to just ponder along village to village 20 miles a day is far enough to the next village soak up the atmosphere and find a nice family run restaurant.

Germany on the other hand any interesting places are miles apart and involves driving all day and then when you get there they charge you to park and not let's forget the sh*t food.
I dread to think how he gets on in italy ;)

We loved France think we did most of it in the twenty years we went for 4 months every year. Duncan did not like Spain and only got him to venture there once and a little three days and we left. Germany we did a bit but basically so we can visit German friends of over 40 years.

Like Lenny HB says just a few miles a day. Great place.

Apart from the increased prices in the past 18 months 😳
Germany was even dearer and shopping in Spain not much different, UK appears to be cheapest now.

I'm following the west coast down Italy this time as I've not done it before. My ferry to Greece is 2 weeks tomorrow from bari
We did the west coast, right from Napoli south all the way up into France by motorway mainly. From Livorno up, motorway its a must down the coast. In reverse to you. Cost about €130 ish for tolls, just a idea.

Don't see anything on motorways . €130 😱

We visited the grounds of the chatteu this morning. Its closed at the minute ( probably wouldn't have gone in anway) but could walk the dogs around and take a few photos . I do like a chatteu .

France is a very pretty country , there's no denying that , and I do like parts of it. I think in springtime its probably very nice , winter it tends to be not much warmer than the UK and just as wet. That said we were blessed with good weather today , it stayed dry , it wasn't cold and we even got treated to sunshine.

Tam, I notice you are parked facing into the grass bank, probably to keep the van level, but I always try to park facing outwards so I can have a quick gettaway if necessary. It usually means I have to use levellers, which is a nuisance.
Not such a quick getaway then, unless of course you leave the levelers behind in your haste. ;)

The south west corner can be very nice in winter temps often in the 20's.
Aye but from what I recall last time it's not very nice. I didn't like any of the south coast of France or the North coast of Italy. Never saw the attraction. It looks nice south of pisa but will wait and see
