MOBY GOES TO TURKEY. A tam and pups adventure.

You was lucky, raining and low cloud when we went there.
Did you go into any of the Monastories?
I didn't go in , you can if you wear long trousers and sleeves , no t shirts etc allowed , only €3 entry but to be honest I was more in to the location and the outside of them , their position and background is what makes them special I think. I'll save the inside for a future visit

Your drone photos are fantastic. I hate to pay you that compliment because I am very anti- drone on the grounds that I consider them intrusive, irritating and anti social. Keep up the good work!
Those aren't drone photos. Just taken from the various viewpoints

Hi Tam from a longtime lurker and very occasional commenter. Loving your threads and all your pictures. That last lot are fantastic. What a place to chill after your stressful drive. Me and my friend Shirley Blossom are currently travelling in convoy to Spain for the first time and loving the experience. Don't know if we'd ever get as far as Greece and Turkey though but you never know! 🤣

Okay, enough already ... I admit it I lied  .... although the dogs are the 'main' reason I follow this thread the landscape photos are outstanding ... I'm definitely gonna have to go to Greece at some point!!! :giggle:

Now you know why it's my favourite country.

The buildings are fantastic just perched on the rocks. Can you imagine them being built. 👍
Yeah . Apparently the monks first came there in 11th century and the first monestaries were there 13th century. People could visit them then but climbed rope ladders lol. I don't imagine they'd get the same footfall as today.

wow, wow, wow, stunning photos tam of meteora, simply beautiful and magical, thank you..
thankfully you didn't have the awful weather and snow of your last attempt of going there..

i must say, if i'm ever lucky enough to get to greece which i probably won't, as a wheelchair user i'd be more than happy to just view and contemplate from the outside for hours, days even..

.

Bloody hell, Tam. I just popped in yesterday to read the latest on your thread after a long gap - only to find mention of a fourth dog! So I had to scroll back gods know how many pages to find out the back story of Blu. Good on you, Tam - and the rest of the pack - for taking her in. (y)

Absolutely stunning photos. Gosh what a place. Those houses struck on promontories. How? Thank you for the link to info. Looks a fabulous place to visit

brilliant

Pics of the day

We walked back to the viewpoint this morning decided to let blu off the leash so she could run and play with ela and practice her recall. She did really really well . 100% success .. I don't expect that to always be the case but its a good start ,

Blu seems such a natural in your pack - however I think you need eyes in the back of your head sometimes. I loved the way she kept looking back checking you were still there in the video when you were following them.
Lovely pictures - thanks Tam

The callback is astounding in such a short time and she looks so happy which is seriously satisfying, l do wonder if they learn from their elders as it were?
You only need to train her to drop one on command and you have her mastered.
l am looking forward to her progress over the next month as a comparison to Ela’s last year.
