MOBY GOES TO TURKEY. A tam and pups adventure.

The callback is astounding in such a short time and she looks so happy which is seriously satisfying, l do wonder if they learn from their elders as it were?
You only need to train her to drop one on command and you have her mastered.
l am looking forward to her progress over the next month as a comparison to Ela’s last year.
I think the difference between her and ela was ela had a year of freedom whereas blu has probably only been independent from her mum for a few weeks.

She's doing great but will have to keep it up. I never had any bother with jade and milo coming back either so hopefully she'll just get better and better.

I have only been following your posts for a year or so (since just before you got Ela). Were Jade and Milo also rescued by you while on your travels?

Blu appears to have that Spaniel trait of checking back every so often to ensure she knows where you are, its like she is watching for instructions or direction.
whatever you do Tam dont have a Cockerpoo or anything with a Poo, they are stuborn and uncooperative, it will result in much frustration and lots of hair pulling. on the other hand they are warm, friendley, love cuddles and to sit with you and are quite intelegent.

oh and they will push you out of bed if they dont have enough room :getmecoat: :ROFLMAO:

Not rescued by me personally they were rescued by a shelter in Spain. Jade was found in a bin aged 2 months, I adopted her when she was 3.5 months so roughly Same age as blu, i adopted milo from the same shelter the following year. He was one of 5 puppies found dumped at around 3 weeks old. Silvia the shelter owner raised him and he was about 6 months when I adopted him.

Next time get a real poodle. You get all the good bits and very little stubborn or uncooperative😄

Yes at the moment she doesn't seem to leave my side much. Not sure if that's a confidence thing yet .. but would be good if she stays that way . Milo has always been a bit like that too

Jeesy peeps what a difference a day makes , we had 22° yesterday and today it's 4° I'm frozen. We drove to epanomi which is a sandy beach on the first finger below thessaloniki , there's another shipwreck here I wanted to see . Weather forecast for the coming week is not great.

So we're parked up on the beach , fire is on ,just had a bowl of soup and some toast for lunch. It's blowing a hooley out there and raining so I don't think we will be going out anytime soon lol. Tomorrow is meant to be drier so I might get some pics of the wreck then if we decide to stay here tonight. But if weather gets worse I may have to move in search of some shelter from the wind etc

It's raining and cold so I was bored and decided to go hunt my old threads on here and add them to my signature like uncle Lenny HB had done .

So for those who missed any of the previous ones they're now easy to find.

I was reading a few pages of them myself and jeeso it does seem like every trip is plagued with van faults lol.

Not sure if I've missed any of the trips though.

I copied Lenny on that too. I'm also bored. Got a stinking cold and my head is banging so having to stay in the van out of the sun as it's too much. Got lots of puppies and dogs to watch though and someone playing a guitar rather well nearby.

Sympathies on the cold . Always dogs and puppies around. There's 3 big stray shepherd's here on this beach I'm parked up on . Feel sorry for them as the weather is awful.

It's hard to switch off as an animal lover. These dogs here are lovely and most are in great condition apart from a couple with limps. There is a tiny caravan with a flat tyre and food and water bowls that they seem to hang out by but not seen anyone living in. All the surfers and us feeding them and an old German lady just came by with food and they all rushed over. A couple have been ear tagged. I've looked up on Google and there is a rescue set up near here (Sarra Morocco) that takes lots of strays, spays and rehomes so I'm going to set up a monthly donation to them and then when we're ready to get another dog will probably get one that's ready to travel to Europe as I don't have the
stomach for smuggling a puppy over.

Bit of a mix n match day today.
We left thermoplye around 9.30am , putting meteora in the satnav with no tolls was showing over 5 hours driving which I wasn't up for so I thought I'd use the toll road as it was under 2 hours , gets on the toll road and after about 15 bleeding miles the road was shut , diverted off the motorway and left in limbo with no diversion signs so I was back to the Normal roads with low speed limits, came through one town and some old geezer decided to abandon his pick up on the road opposite a pharmacy.. my rh mirror met his with a very loud wallop ... police just up ahead In a layby doing stop checks so I pulled in there , old guy pulls in with his pickup , didn't speak a word of English, his mirror is in bits , mine is bent back, glass OK but the arm is damaged. So old geezer goes marching up to the cops , they come back demand my license, insurance, v5 etc , they're all talking back in forth in Greek I haven't a clue what's going on , cop leaves my v5 and insurance on the bonnet of one cop car and walks off with my licence to the other ... guy with truck is on the phone ranting to someone , wind blows my papers over the road so I've gotta go running after them ... then another car pulls up and a young guy gets out , he joins in the greek discussion... all the while I'm thinking this isn't going well I've no idea what's been said and thinking there goes my bleeding ncb, the cop cokes back with my license and asks did I not see the truck, I said sure I saw it but he abandoned it with no warning , I swung out to pass him but narrow road and other vehicles coming the other way so I obviously didn't swing out far enough ... there's a solid white line right up the road you're not meant to cross etc ... he goes back to loud Greek with the 2 other cops the old guy and the young guy who turned out to be his son..... then the young guy says its OK we fix it ourself . So long story short after about 20 minutes of back n forth the police told me to go .. .

Then I had another 40 minutes of narrow windy road before I came back to another toll road ... decided to take that as I was well pissed off by that point. An hour and 30 minutes of toll road cost me €16

That'll be the last one lol .

But it got me to meteora for lunch time

And what can I say , meteora is pretty special, what a fantastic place . 22° today aswell so it was lovely .

Parked up overnight on a quiet road further up from the monestaries, guy here with a 4x4 he has made in to a camping car, he's from Afghanistan originally but been living in crete the last 6 years , speaks good English so we had a chat for a while before the shepherd turned up with 200 goats and 6 dogs ...so I had to put my lot in the camper as the dogs were going crazy....blue found her bark again and was going nuts in the van lol.
Where did the builder put the scaffolding and stones when building places like the monastery ???

If anyone wanted to do that these days what precautions would the health and safety folks want .

In India they still use bamboo tied together with string & on quite high buildings.

Been checking out your trip with the Frankia Tam. It is strange seeing pics of you without the pups and no pups in the van:oops:

Lovely photos you’re posting

How is the van holding up in the rain, no more leaks?
None that I'm aware of. I'm hoping that resealing everything when I got it should last a while.
