MOBY GOES TO TURKEY. A tam and pups adventure.

In the short while I've been parked behind this statue I can't believe the amount of dodgy looking guys both walking and driving beat up old cars there's been casing my camper. They obviously think its an easy target as I'm parked away from the herd. I'll be moving back over there once I'm finished downloading lol as they're definitely up to no good

Oh that reminds me . I saw 2 interestingly things on the drive here today . I passed a cemetery that was a British military cemetery... thought that was a bit strange. First one I've seen in Greece, nowt like the ones you see in France it was very plain . Just small grey headstones about a foot high , walled cemetery . Nothing else in it . No flowers , garden beds or anything .

And the other thing was a huge refugee camp shanty town type thing , reminded me of Morocco, shacks built from pallets and covered in plastic , fires in barrels everywhere. The folk looked middle Eastern, Syrian etc I think .

Pretty big too .

Is this it?

More money wasted on students who don't want to get a real job lol. What a piece of nonsense. Wagging tails to the left for one reason and the right for another. All my dogs tails wagg every way possible lol ... they wagg them when they meet other dogs too . Not just humans.

I think that's why cats and dogs don't get on , cats wagg when they're annoyed , dogs wagg when happy
And cats take offence at having their bums sniffed by dogs, but dogs just can't stop themselves from doing it 😀.

Those springs look amazing. I've not managed to find a hot spring on our travels yet so it's on my bucket list. Went looking for one in Spain but never found it.

I love the name Blu btw and she has a gorgeous coat pattern. Really pleased she's settled in so easily for you.

Loving the photos and information Tam.
Wondered if my method of getting a couple of my cats to take tablets might work lick your hand place tablet on top and offer
no idea
1. Why it works
2. what on earth induced me to try it in the first place.

It’s an odd sense dog’s seem to have, they will scavenge and eat any old crap, but will reject a small pill hidden in their food.
My old dog was a devil for it, until we realised that all we had to do was flick them up into the air - his instinct to catch was so strong that he'd jump up and snap on them, tablet gone and one confused looking dog, "where the hell did that go?"

This is the only one I've ever been to , I came here back in 2021 and spent a whole day in the water lol. I've seen a few other ones mentioned on other folks travels but never found them . It's lovely and warm but you've to watch your footing as the rocks are really slippy with all the algae.

She does have lovely colours and markings . Such a sweetheart.

I had a Greyhound like that- I used to throw pills & he'd catch and swallow them.

I have to admit I've never tried that. I think that would work on ela for sure.

I'm pretty sure the majority of people who do follow it actually follow it for the dogs and not for me.
Er, well ... now you mention it ....

Tam I noticed you were holding all the leads in one hand which must be a pain, hubby uses an old dog collar and loops the lead handles onto it, fastens it then just holds it as a handle, much easier that way. Also a benefit is if you drop it the chances of them all running off in the same direction is minute so they stay put and you don't have to go chasing each one individually! :giggle:

Aye I was only holding them in one hand to take the photo lol. But that's a good idea with the collar.

My problem is the leads are different lengths .

I want one of those belts I can put the leads on .

You do need some difference though otherwise they'd all be trying to walk on the same spot! Of course you can adjust it a bit by taking into account each dog's height and putting allocating leads as appropriate to make them have a similar overall length from hand to ground ... or put some knots in the leads as that shortens them too ... failing that get the short ones some platform boots! :giggle:

This is when dogs drive me nuts . Took them all out for a last pee just before midnight. Blu walks back n forth back no forth making no attempt to pee , just picking things up and trying to eat them , eventually after 10 minutes she eventually pees , All back in the van and 5 minutes later she's pacing about whining and annoying the other 3 , so i take her back out thinking better be safe than sorry ...again she just pisses about eating bits of plants etc etc then walks back to the door so I bring her back in , same thing again going about whining and sniffing at the fridge door etc .so I assumed this is because she remembers they get a biscuit after their last pee , they all get a biscuit ...then she dissappear in to the cab ... and yep you guessed it she did a shit in the bleeding cab ... on the sheepskin ela sleeps on . I could have bloody throttled her . The van is now stinking . Even though its been cleaned up there's still a bleeding whiff .

So she's in my bad books .

I honestly don't know what goes through their head at times.

Poor Blu it must be confusing for her trying to work out the rights and wrongs I'm sure she will get there but she is only a pup and learning, I think you her and the rest of the pack are doing great.
I hope you manage to get some sleep.
