MOBY GOES TO TURKEY. A tam and pups adventure.

I’ve never had a dog and I’m definitely not a dog person but this thread in its entirety ( dogs and all ) is absolutely brilliant !
The pictures and commentary are fantastic, I look forward to the next instalment each day , thanx Tam and your pack ! 💡👍

Not wanting to hijack your thread Tam but we befriended a lovely little dog (or did she befriend us?) at Savalia beach back in 2016.
We stayed there for a few days and gave her a good brush and feed, she was very partial to a bit of meat from the barbie. :giggle:
Chatting to the locals and several folk would come down and regularly feed her so she was well looked after, her name was Sindy, one guy left us several loaves for her but she preferred bbq food :giggle:
We still both think of her to this day and I sometimes wish we had taken her back with us.
I also have some photos from Elea beach which used to be a dog sanctuary back then, some of the puppies there were hard to resist but don't want to post too much on your thread.
Here's Sindy...

Please give your pack an extra cuddle tonight.
I've just lost my beautiful girl to cancer.
She was put to sleep this afternoon  .
I’m thinking of you langtoft lad. It’s such a void when they go. Think of the great times you shared. I dread my springer going I really do

So sorry, I don't think there is another pain quite like it x
That is such a true comment. When people say oh it’s just a dog, they have no idea what that animal means to you. I dread the day my old boy and I are parted and no I’m not talking about my man.

We had another walk up to the wee Chapel this morning.

And then we headed north to delphi. The road from that peninsula to the e962 was a nightmare, some of the steepest windy roads I've ever been on and of course there had to be roadworks on it .. getting past some of the big machines was a real challenge. Took us over 2 hours to drive 30km . Arrived in delphi around 2.30pm , all the archaeological sites are heaving ,surprisingly busy with coaches at this time of year. Also surprisingly warm and sunny 17° today , passed a few skiing villages, loads of shops with skis, sledges , snowboards etc etc for sale , fur coats, hats you name it lol ..... and not a hint of snow anywhere 🤣🤣 thankfully. Put the drone up for a bit and got a few pics of the amphitheatre and temple ruins .

This little madam has fairly come to life in the last 24 hours , full of beans and mischief, constantly trying to chew things including me, she's now mastered getting in and out the van with the step thankfully, but such a greedy girl, she's figured out how to just tip over the slow feeding bowl so I have to sit and hold the bloody thing lol. Tried to give her the other tablet today for flea and tic and it was in and out the mouth several times .. in the end I had to hide it in her dinner. She has no fear and a brass neck lol .

Strange that Delphi is busy in January when we visited it was late September and practically empty. I wonder if a Cruise ship has come into Itea and they have been bused up there.
Possibly, lot of youngsters about too. Maybe school or college

Are you sure that vans big enough ?
Where are you going to sit, do your cab seats swivel round ?

Of course it's big enough . The pup is sitting where I sit .. most of the time jade and ela lie on the front seats .. they just get moved . The front seats swivel but I rarely use them . I prefer the sofa

Yeah tried that lol the bugger worked it out the cheese ate the cheese and spat out the tablet. I crushed it in her food in the end .
It’s an odd sense dog’s seem to have, they will scavenge and eat any old crap, but will reject a small pill hidden in their food.

We use Nextgard for flea and tick treatment as well as worms, vet said its a nice tasty treat for them. No its not its a game to find out where I've hid it and spit it out, tries cheese, sausage roast beef he still finds it. Don't bother now just hold top jaw and push his lips in so he won't close his mouth then throw it down the back of his tongue, same with worming tablet when coming home from over there.
