They have to know your details etc and that is the easiest method and then if a deposit is required we can pay it direct to them and the balance when we depart

all there for the rally date will pay the same for what is used

No , it is a separate charge on what you use . if you read back you will find all the details

I booked off the advert and it didn't ask for a deposit. I did get an email confirming this but at full price.

No, they just asked for my card number and expiry date. I can only tell them the christian names of people from MHF since I don't know any surnames. Confusing.

Sent our booking off via the Marjal ad on the side bar, had the e mail back stating that our 15nights will be 183.75euro's that we are with Fun Spa etc free. Electric charged extra (rate quoted) no mention of a deposit. Seems quite efficient done that way.

How many of those who are going to Marljal are crossing via Calais? We are hoping to cross on the chunnel using out Tesco club card points. Are there any others who might be interested in travelling down together? We havent booked the crossing as yet but were hoping to take a leisurely four days to travel down. Would need a bit of coordinating but could be possible.

I was wondering, as the 'other' Marjal is an ACSI site (in the book 15 euros a night this year) and we know that the 2012 book is going to be banded at 12 / 14 / 16 euros....... where is that extra Funster discount? Jane

The funster discount is a 30% over listed rates, which is better than ACSI, specially for long term stays. Also, bookings made before opening date include Spa and gym, which won´t be free in the new site (it will still be included in Marjal Guardamar)

If they just offered the higher band as some do, we aren't doing too badly especially with the pool use thrown in.

There's about a dozen FUNsters on offer and a premium site of 1500 pitches, under those conditions FUN does not carry a lot of clout does it. I'll bet Raimon is quite pissed off at the low numbers from here.

I wonder how many other "meets" we'll bump into. Do we take our portable trebuchet and Darkside ammo to settle old scores in a foreign land ?

There will be some other meets at the same time than yours, so bring the war paints!

I don't think Raimon will be disapointed, publicity for his site here has been massive, with plenty of long term bookings coming his way because of it. A few more ralliers would be nice, but smaller is definitely better when it comes to rallies:thumb:

Looking at the bigger picture. I managed a good booking for two months at the Marjal Eco and my wife got a good price at the CC booking for the ferry. We go out on the 8th January via Santander

As I said above, you are not all staying for the same amount of time, so you are most likely to get a different rate. You do all have the 30% discount, but you book individually, just state you are a funster when you book.

I sent off a reservation request, via the advert, on Thursday.
I stated my forum name and that I would be attending the MotorhomeFun rally . As we are staying on at Marjal after the Fun rally finishes, I quoted the rates that Raimon has given us and asked if these would also apply to our extended booking. I have had no reply as yet.

I mentioned to the representative at the NEC stand that I was a member of this forum when we booked but not comment was made. The site looks fabulous, all of the assistance we have received over our booking has been excellent and the price we pay is as good, if not better than we could have expected. Steve once you have booked directly with Marjal you go to Jims definitive list and fill out his form , he will then add your name ....the list here was only a casual list to see if there was interest

We are travelling via the ferry to Calais and still sorting out our route / stops overs , which I guess other folk who are going are doing also, guess a bit later on folk will be able to say and help more

Which date are you crossing and how long you planning on taking to get down there? I had thought four or five days (non autoroute) and via the Somport Tunnel, but since its donkeys years since we drove to the south of France, I will be looking for any tips or routes:thumb:

We expect to go by tunnel on or around 28 Feb, and will take a few days/week moseying down. We don't usually plan much ahead but are open to suggestions? We also try to have breaks where Ellie can get exercise but it would be nice to join up with others of an evening.

Further to my reservation request made this morning I have received an e-mail from Camping Marjal confirming our reservation. Our reservation is with the MotorhomeFunsters group, and is for our specified dates. There was no mention of the rates, I guess that can be sorted when we get there, nor was there a request for a deposit.
