While suggestions/requests re Marjal are flying around may I make a request?

Please could we have a separate thread listing all the Funsters actually attending this get together and their dates... I am far too lazy to go through all those posts to find this info out and am still trying to decide whether to join in or not and if I do, when and for how long.

Obviously I need to choose a time when the fewest number of Man Utd fans, Fray Bentos Pie Haters and Daily Ma*l Readers are in attendence and when the highest number of wishy washy, liberal, do gooding left wingers are... :Rofl1: :Rofl1: :Rofl1: :Rofl1:

JJ

Let me think.....errrrr.... i am not a Man Utd fans (nor City BTW:Rofl1:)...i can manage with Fray Bentos pies, i don't read the Daily Ma*l (nor any other newspapers , would they be english or french ...i watch "television" .... but you don't know this word:Rofl1:) and my dates will probably be the same as yours ... is it helping you in any way? :Wink:

I have had a word with my people and they are pleased that your dates might match mine but they are a little worried about you not being City fan (yet)...:Rofl1:

I have asked them to be patient... :Rofl1:

I can't miss this. Plan C. Now arrive about 5th or 4th. Stay a week then move to Chez Pitstop for the racing.

Now all we want is how/when/where to book and Marjal's best pricing.

Allright funsters, the time has come,

We are having a lot of bookings, in order to reserve your pitches and to put all of you together I would please need an up to date list of rally attendants, dates and names.

Thanks

Raimon

I think there should be a dedicated thread for bookings and names and to use it for that only... no banter or talk.. or jokes..

Just put your name, type of plot... arrival and departure time..

Jim did start one but I think it got caught up with general chit- chat etc.. :thumb:

I think we are all mighty confused, do we just book direct with you or are we supposed to be doing some joint on line booking ?

PS.....

OK I've just reserved my place ! 5th to 14th.

Well, in any case, It would be good to have a list, but reception of the new site is now open, you can book directly with reception (that would ease things for me) just mention that you are a funster and your funster name when making the reservation. Type of pitch, people on pitch and dates of arrival and departature.

Also, for your interest, if any of you is around the area, you can now visit the site an check your pitch.

Cheers

Raimon

And we get a reply quoting the full price as listed. No doubt sorted out later.

These are the prices we were quoted.

The price depends on many things, mainly the pitch's size and the length of the stay. So let´s say you fit on the 3 to 15 days category in the rates chart.

That would be 12,75€ per day, plus 3€ per adult, so 15,75€ for individual travellers and 18,75€ for couples. That would be on a confort pitch, the 90m2 ones.

Then you should get the 30% discount for funsters for bookings before opening, then it would be 11,025€ per day for individual travellers and 13,125€ for couples.

Now I´ll give you the rates with the discounts included for the rest of pitches size's:

For Premium Pitches: 12,6€ for individual travellers and 14,7€ for couples.

For Luxe Pitches: 14,7 for individuals and 16,18 for couples

All these rates are 30% discount over standard rates, electricity is not included.

Also we have this option, a flat rate including leccy, 16€ for confort pitches, 19€ for Premium and 22€ for Luxe.

These are the prices we were quoted.

I don't have any problem with that. €13.125 a day for 2 for such a site looks good to me.

Full meet people should be €11.375 per couple per day.

All plus leccy.

( Hilldwellers post) Full meet people should be €11.375 per couple per day.

(Pricing post from Raimon) Also we have this option, a flat rate including leccy, 16€ for confort pitches,

Is the flat rate including EHU a better option ????

I does depend on how much leccy you use anyway but is that flat rate across the time periods, is that flat rate good for 30% discount ?

Leccy is 0.35kWhr. 1kW might be about enough to keep warm = €8.4 a day, 16-11=5 so if using electric heating you are on a winner assuming no heatwave.

If we pay at the end then a quick calculation ( if we have used units available ) could decide it, or maybe we have to declare our plan up front.

For us, in the 3-15 day slot, assuming it's €16 - 30% = 11.2, we would be on a winner.

Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

The deed is done.

We leave Portsmouth on 1st March and return via St Malo on 10th April.

Looking good, spring is a colourful time of year. It will be particularly colourful at a FUN meet.

Jim just wondering if you are making a new list, and if you want us to Book direct with Marjal and pay them or with you.

We would like a Comfort Pitch incl electric all in. 16 euros ? from 11th March to 25th March incl. thanks.

I've not confirmed it with Raimon, but I'm sure the procedure will be.. Book it with them, pay a deposit and we will sort the bills out when we are there:thumb:

I started looking at ferries yesterday, not sure how we are going to go yet. Drive from Calais hoping the weather is ok and take the low roads South or miss all those snowy mountain passes altogether and take the ferry to Spain. Decisions decisions:BigGrin:

Our ferries are booked, outward by Brittany Ferries Portsmouth to Santander on the 1st March £359.
This is a two night crossing as the boat stops at Roscoff to change crew. :Eek!:
Return in May by DFDS Dunkirk to Dover, €29 using Bob & Janes discount code. :thumb:

Just checked my confirmation and it does state that this offer is for motorhomes up to 8mtrs ........longer m/h's £12.50per metre payable at check in

Did check other routes also...... Brittany ferry to Santander was £900 :Eeek:
but John prefer's driving through France.

Could somebody please tell me where to get a discount code so I can decide our method of crossing. We will be going Dover to Calais return but don't know whether to go by tunnel or ferry.
