I’M SHOUTING THIS SO YOU CAN HEAR ME OVER THE RAIN ON THE ROOF!

What rain....?

It never rain on a funsters rally......:sun:
Sorry, my mistake. I’ve just looked out again and taken this snap of @Mrs Badknee and @Chrysalis

Heads up for technical and bit of manpower please

Just had an awning collapse with weight of rain, not mine, we have made it safe for now tied down with bungees but both arms broken off front rail will need some mechanical mods to get it wound away when rain stops

It’s amazing how lymington looks so similar to Stratford

I just thought the same when I stood up in our awning and groundsheet was floating on a couple of inches of water

My last memory of Stratford was floods in all the furrows o_O

We appear to have been parked in one here as well

Here are the questions to tonight’s quiz. I sneaked onto @petenshirley ’s roof and saw them through the roof lights. Don’t let on that you have seen them!

1. What do you get if you bond 2 atoms of hydrogen to one of oxygen?
2. What do you get if you melt ice?
3. A few drops of what, added to cask strength single malt whiskey, is said to improve its flavour?
4.what drops over the Horseshoe Falls at many tonnes an hour?
5. What did our wartime forebears add to dehydrated egg to make it suitable for eating?
6. Name the missing ingredient in this recipe for a cup of tea: tea bag, milk(optional), sugar (optional)
7. Mixing equal molar volumes of acid and base together is an exothermic reaction producing a salt and what other common substance?
8. Other than carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide, what is the main waste product produced in a petrol engine?
9. What word is often missed out when describing a drink otherwise known as a G&T?
10. What substance makes up 60% of the human body?

Me too, where is it?

Managed to sneak out after lunch, for a dry wander around the festival site - didn't buy any seafood as still full from bacon & sausage sarnie lunch... but did manage a rum punch and a pint of Forty Niner :D2... then the heavens opened so took refuge (and 2nd mortgage) for a pint of Sharps Atlantic IPA...

Still a downpour when I came out ... but by now I didn't care.

Lovely photos. Capture the essence of Lymington!

I love the funster family ethics

Awning secure and away, can now be taken home and sorted properly, sad it’s happened but without help it could have been a real crisis

Nice one chaps (y)

We too! Hard to keep the young ones in place with no outdoor activities. Shame.. but it was very nice to meet you!
Us too. Need to get the dog to the vets. He seems to have a botty problem - maybe needs his glands emptying but decided that rain, a dog that is constantly licking his bum and a van that stinks of 'eau de wet dog' would not make for a pleasant day. @Wombles Karen, sorry to get you up so early to unlock the gate but there was a queue to get out.
However, thank you both so much for a very well organised rally and also a huge thank you to all the marshalls who braced some appalling weather to get us all parked up nicely.

Sorry not to have seen you, Tilly would have loved to see you both again. I hope the dog is OK, was looking forward to meeting him.

Hi, everybody,
I am the one who had the unfortunate mishap with my awning. I am extremely grateful to those of you that came and made it safe to travel. I have no idea who most of you are, so personal thanks would be a little difficult. I hope my writing on here will convey my heartfelt appreciation to all those involved.

Rather heavily fortified, and that's just Jen against the weather, The steel plates are the gun portals.

Just after we paid our £4.50 seniors concession it started to pee down which sort of spoilt the visit and the 2.5km walk back was looking rather wet when we spotted the little ferry that runs to Keyhaven so jumped on that which was quite interesting as the driver was chatting to us about the tides and pointing out all the birds, Curlew, Godwit, Redshank.

Yes, sorry we missed you too. I had told Barley about Tilly and he said he was really looking forward to 'sniffing' her. Hopefully next time - are you going to Pershore?

Thanks to everyone that made this rally happen after walking around Lymington I was too uncomfy to come out and play last night. Plus nobody called to see if I wanted to play was hoping weather forecast was going to be wrong today but it wasnt to be. So I dashed for home hope the weather breaks for those staying see ya next year maybe.

Thank you so much to @Wombles Karen and Alan for organising this Lymington rally and all the marshals who made it possible.
Even though we left early due to the wet stuff we still had a lovely time.
It’s so nice to be part of such a great family spirited, friendly and helpful bunch.
Looking forward to rally number 3 for us wherever that may be.
