Rally Chat Lymington Seafood Festival, Golf, Beaulieu Motor Museum, Isle Of Wight (& More!) Rally August 2018

Looking at the weather report for tomorrow we have decided to head back home a day early.
Such a shame but I guess that’s the good ol British weather for you
That is a shame but hope to see you another time. The cookies were excellent - saving the cakes for tomorrow :)

Hello everyone,

Hello. @Wombles

Sad to report I am not at all well and have been sent to bed, so will be unable to join you for the remainder of the rally.

Dawn’s orders!

I am so disappointed.

Next time...

Regards and thanks,

Colin
Sorry to hear that - hope you feel much better soon.

We too! Hard to keep the young ones in place with no outdoor activities. Shame.. but it was very nice to meet you!
Was good to meet you all - have a safe journey home.

Penny @Bessie600 hope someone can fix the problem with your 12v today. No fun without it when there is no EHU to fall back on.

Does anyone know anything about 12v systems mine only worked during the day now its stopped again
I would be happy to have a look and will even bring my own voltmeter but it sounds like your battery is flat and possibly only running off a solar panel, if you have one?

What time are you up?

Martin

Thoroughly enjoyed those oysters. I might pop back to the festival and bring her some more back today:eek:

Need more of a wind generator or hydro electric to charge up here. But there are a few on the site with generators ( back row) who may be able to help.

Thanks guys @Scout and @funflair for offering to help Penny @Bessie600 .
As she may not be able to access her phone due to no charge, Carol @Cal54 will go to see her to offer your help.

It was lovely to have so many join us tonight , a big thank you to everyone who brought along tasty treats & to the musicians who made it particularly enjoyable (y)
Did we miss something ? :)

Thank you all for the weekend, we had a nice time shame we never ventured out last night but that may have been 1 gin to many under the yard arm, and a few beers at the Ringwood stand. Thank you to the Marshall's you did a outstanding job in conditions that were unjust after the last month's weather.

We have left two bags of books in the shelters for the book stall.

Daz n Tina

So sorry not to have made it to the shelter last night, like the night before we were accosted by a loverly couple (no names, no pack drill) and just a quick one ended up a slow four.... No hangover though. Laters

Going to go ahead with the Bring & Buy Sale from 10-midday & hope we don't get drenched! Feel feel to bring your tables etc into & around the shelters (y)

My plans for the day involve finally meeting @Scout (as I haven’t managed to meet him yet) but also blueberry picking sometime today , no idea where the poly tunnel is, does anyone know ?

Turn right out of the gate, then left. It is on the right hand side

Sorry we didn’t make it to the shelter last night but we were drawn into the guitar playing by suggy and of course a few bottles of red.
Such a great bunch here

I would like to say a big thankyou to everyone who helped find the fault with my 12v electrics
Its so nice to belong to such a helpful group

That’s great....(y) what was it ? Something silly or something broke, the result could help others with a similar problem...

And I’m just being nosy....:D2

Pretty good explanation that really, with it being a British van they want to cut the habitation electrics when the engine is running so the habitation is fed through a relay that should open when engine runs and be NC (normally closed) when the engine is off, through a bit of Google research I have learned that 5 pin relays can have either two pins 87 which will be NO (normally open) or they can have 1 pin 87 NO (normally open) and 1 1 pin 87a which is the normally NC (normally closed ie no power from engine),

Oh heck I have confused myself again, anyway it needs 87a and didn't have it:LOL: so a different relay, or in this case a bit of wire has sorted it(y)

I hope you are all taking notes as this could be part of the Quiz tonight.
