Rally Chat Lymington Seafood Festival, Golf, Beaulieu Motor Museum, Isle Of Wight (& More!) Rally August 2018

Hi guys, would love to put our name down if there is space,

Richard and Gay

UPDATE - For those that have booked 3 or 4 nights - if you do want to extend your booking to 4 or 5 nights then this will need to be done between now & 25 July at the latest (2 weeks before the rally) not on arrival or during the rally. Everyone will be asked for a sealed envelope with the correct amount in cash due for your stay & your forum name, motorhome/vehicle registration & number of nights written on it on arrival before or whilst waiting to be pitched. All will be checked off against our lists & given a vehicle pass with the booked number of nights which must be displayed at all times - don't forget your Blu Tack or tape!
Hopefully you can understand that a rally of this size is a bit of a monster admin. wise :whew: so once we have everyone checked in & have handed over the money owing to the farmer we want to be able to enjoy the festival, activities & trips too :hi5::party:

One more: @Hils and Glenns
Please see our last UPDATE above with regards to booking extra nights if wanted.

Reminder:
Friday - Arrivals & invitation to all from 7pm onwards to come along with a mug or a glass full of your favourite tipple & gather in the "Meeting Area" .All very casual - bring a chair if you like or just wander around & chat to fellow members. No pressure to join in so those that would rather do their own thing then that's fine too. We will probably still be working until at least 8pm but once everyones in & we've eaten we'll be there too :hi5:
We will have at least two shelters (if needed) as we have just bought one to take along & thanks @Scout who will be bringing theirs too (y) If anyone else can bring anything like the Coleman Event Shelter to add to this that would be much appreciated - please let us know.

@Wombles power sorted, Ill bring an extra loose battery and I have made up some power looms we can rig something up from that it will be enough as it it wont get dark till late. If necessary I can top it up daily from my solar (cloud permitting)

Only interested in 3 nights (Fri Sat Sun) due to prior commitments,

Besides Mousy and Ger and Taran Las all selling raffle tickets I had @Armytwowheels collecting the money, she don't take no sh!* when it comes to coffin up the dues.

I had Funflair Martin and swansaeajack Ray on Marquee duties and david G and Robert Clark bidding on anything in the auctions. So what seemed a real headache early on was made easy by all my friends. The generosity of all was almost embarrasing, I wish you well with yours.

@Wombles , I trust this is a PM and as such @swanseajack13 won't be able to read it, as I wouldn't want to hurt his feelings, can you arrange it so that @DavidG58 , Cutfinger sorry @DLT and @cliffandger are either side of Ray Spreadeagle so that we can Put him down once and for all. We'll pretend that we're digging a camp toilet, nobody would miss him except maybe Charlie!

Thank you - you are already down for 4 nights (y) & @Mousy is for 5 - only tagged those who were for less.
Think we will redo the forum list with the number of nights booked as think quite a few will forget between now & then especially if booking on lots of other rallies too!

Was it @Minxy Girl who had sourced those suction cups with a bulldog clip attached, perfect for this application. I've had a look but can't find a supplier, anyone got a link ?

They are just the suckers for sale now for Christmas lights with either a bull dog or clip thing attached. Perfect for tunnel crossing label or aire tickets on our a class windscreen.

@cliffandger weve booked in for 5 nights with the expectation that Martin will have retired! We will also be towing my car for days out and possible visit to his mum.

Looks like these are the ones that @jezport sells but 10 is a lot more than most of us would want!

Clever idea but think it's a blob of Blu or White Tack for us.

The reason I do them in 10 packs is that they cost £2.80 to post 1 or 10 by royal mail.
So I wouldnt sell many single ones for £2.80 postage.
If anyone is local to me they are £1 each collected fron Leeds
