we only have two event shelters, I think were going to need more is there any why anybody can help out, can @Jim lend us his if so can anybody ferry them down

There are a couple of Coleman event shelters going cheap in Amazon Warehouse Deals but smaller 3.65m size not 4.5m that was on offer before. These are a good design as likely to withstand the elements better than gazebos which we have seen fly across sites & hit motorhomes & caravans before! :eek:
We are hoping for sun at Lymington though with it being summertime :pray2: :giggle:

I noticed there one or two 4.5 mt ones on ebay very resonably priced, they are very stable and I have used mine for all kind of things, it really is a usefull bit of kit, but there not light

@swanseajack13 I remember reading or other a posting from one of the dark side at a rally;

"I'm surrounded by bloody funsters!"

Subscribers  do not see these advertisements

@rangitira when one is in the V.I.P. field old chap there are no bloody FUNSTERS around one's m/h and the rabble are kept away by my large vicious YORKIES so be warned ray xx lol still lol I may invite so m/h fact members around :Grin::Grin::Grin::Grin:o to be a V.I.P.:pinocchio::pinocchio:

@Scout we have some shelters and a marquee 8mx 4m if you have 100 m/h at this rally if you divide the courier cost between us down and back you can use them ray xx lol still lol I will get the sheep out of them before they are sent but a long way off yet :sun::sun::sun:hoping for sun and more sun

We have bought a Coleman shelter for Lymington, Stratford & any other meets or rallies that we can take them to next year (payload & space allowing) & @Scout has kindly offered to bring theirs. Ours is mainly to provide a hub & shelter on arrivals day for our lovely volunteer marshals (y) (wouldn't get us all in our little green pod!) then as a focal gathering point. We didn't have shelters or gazebos at any of the meets or rallies that we ran or helped with this year as these were all at events or festivals so lots to do away from the camping area. This will also be the same for Lymington that there will be many things to see & do so we don't feel that a covered area for all (could be well over 200 people!) is essential although we will try to allocate a large enough area (if we can :unsure:) for everyone to gather & hope that the sun shines like it did this year :pray2:
Many are bringing the popular Quest shelters to pitch next to their motorhomes to gather with friends so space has been allocated for these. If anyone wants to bring a shelter for the gathering area then that would be a bonus for those that might use it if it rains but we aren't comfortable with asking for everyone to donate towards any costs for shelters especially if they may not want or need to use them although we appreciate the offers that have been made.

Thank you for your kind offer but please see our comment above with regards to shelters.

We will probably still be working until at least 8pm but once everyones in & we've eaten we'll be there too :hi5:
We will have at least two shelters (if needed) as we have just bought one to take along & thanks @Scout who will be bringing theirs too (y) If anyone else can bring anything like the Coleman Event Shelter to add to this that would be much appreciated - please let us know.
