That’s such a shame.
ianthebuilder is a genuine good bloke and his support for Nathan - who seems to be repaying the faith people put in him - is so important.
Please don’t stop posting, some folk seem more interested in winning an argument - you have a warm faith in human nature; don’t let it get you down.
 
ianthebuilder Please keep posting we (nearly) all love your posts as many have followed your posts since you started looking for a motorhome and when Helga arrived we where all so enthralled with your life stories. You will be a great help to Nathan with your work ethic you seem to have got a good labourer in the making. Please do not let some of the Rodney's on here upset you there are many great people on this forum and after meeting you a few months ago you are a great person so you fit in well.

Ian, please don't let others get you on a downer with their nitpicking - you had checked with Nathan that he was happy for details to be out there & you did that because you are a caring person.

Hope to see you back posting soon?
 
We will know if Nathan is up set as there will lumps in his muck and he will pick out all the wet bricks just for Ian. Haha

ianthebuilder , I am glad for once it's not me upsetting you, JJ seems to be getting bitter about anything lately , don't know what it is , but please don't take it to heart, I am very pleased you are getting it together , don't let anyone get you down now, keep up the hard work, I'm sure if nathen didn't want anyone to know, he wouldnt have told you, but please, please don't leave us wondering how you are getting on, because you know there is always someone who will be here to help you in anything, and yes that includes me even though you don't always think so. I fear some Funsters have totally misunderstood my post(s) which never ever have a go at Ian...

I am, however, constantly amazed at how much personal stuff folks seem to need to inform the world about themselves (me included!) online and how eagerly so many folk lap it up. :whistle2:

I've just got off the phone to the man himself, after an hour n half!

He's pissed off, he doesn't want or need negative people in his life. He's set-up in a nice new flat and got a good run of work on, when he finishes these refurbishments he's got a house to build on the same site, everything is rosy.

He said if he does come back on he'll start a new thread titled "only for positive people, (or don't bother replying).

Now, this lad Nathan isn't named Nathan, Ian used that name to cover the lad, although the rest of what he said about the lad is true.

Some folk want to think before they type, and this is how I look at it, would you say the things you type if you were face to face with the person?

I was dying to have a rant, but life's to short.

I think Ian is just the sort of guy that this "Nathan" needs in his life right now. Well done Ian

One of my best friends and best man at our wedding is a recovering addict. Drugs nearly destroyed him till he got the right help and "wanted" to get clean. It takes a massive amount of self determination and love to get truly clean

This is what Ian said to me, the lad is a good grafter, always there before start time and doesn't stand about looking at his phone, when his days graft is done he goes off to his NA meeting.

He also said, if the lad carries on like he's started Ian will teach him the trade, can't say fairer than that really.
 
Would be very sad not to read Ian’s posts :( hope one person’s contribution doesn’t stop his almost daily posts sharing his experiences on this site. Nathan is lucky to have him in his life.

genuine 5 year friendship you have on here some have had the pleasure to meet you some virtual but to all you are thought of as a friend so please keep joining us with your early morning cuppa and chat that we share with you as friends do.

Ian your a better man than certain keyboard warriors on here. Don’t let them get to you. Nathan had gone down the wrong track, he realised that and turned round and is finding the right track. The best thing he can do is talk to peaple about it,not hide away and let it chew him up inside. You are the best person for him at the moment, someone to talk to, laugh with, keep busy with and most important look up to and see what he could achieve. Your doing a great job mate. (y)
 
you've had a great new start to 2020, so much positivity and much to look forward to, so you do whatever makes you content and happy, we will miss you but wish you well with your bright new future, upwards and onwards, keep smiling ian..
