Good evening,,,
not much to report, builder sent me a text saying concrete all in and ready for Monday, so all good on the work front!
Victory housing, my landlords, had a residence meeting today, and I went along,, it was in a place called Acle at the Rec centre,, well only 6 of us turned up, obviously a lot were working, and it was really interesting!!
victory have now merged with Flagship another housing association of a slightly bigger size, and now are a huge association!!
they have even gone into the construction business, buying their own land and building houses, flats etc, interesting I thought!!
we chatted about lots of stuff, and they even mentioned the swap system, where after a year of being with them and being a good tennant, you can go onto a couple of various websites and look for an exchange,, now I’ve heard about this, but always assumed you could only swap within the association your with, but no,,,, I was told by someone a week or so ago that you can swap with anyone anywhere in the country, that has either a housing association property or even a council place!! Of course yo have to find someone who wants your place, but just imagine the scope that gives you,, you can even get involved in a chain of more than two people, just like a housebuying situation,,
Now before you go thinking that I’m going to move, I’m not ,, yet!! Lol. But it’s nice to know that the system supports that and it could be a real winner for some!!
I met a couple of really cool people, had a few cups of Yorkshire tea! And it was a good 3 hrs!! Yes, I think it’s agood idea!
I met a bloke, Dave, who lives in the flats just along from me, and what a story he’s got!!
He was a psychiatric nurse, till his girlfriend pushed him down the stairs some 4 years ago,, unconscious for four hours, brain damage, which bought on four years of depression and suicidal thoughts,, now he’s recovered and waiting to take his place in the working world again! He doesn’t think he wants to go back to what he once did, but he says even care work in a home etc would be a good start! Yes nice people!!
so that’s it for another week,, I heard there’s a storm coming this weekend, so wrap up warm,,, have a good evening,, chat later, xxxx
