Good evening,,,

well that’s the first bit of work done,, finished it yesterday and now I have to wait for the lads to remove the floors and get the new joists in, so I can carry on building the jack walls!

when I start again, which should be Monday, I have a longer run of work then,, there’s the windows to move, make smaller, bigger and brick up, a two storey house / extension on the end of the building, so all will be good,,

not much to see really but picture was taken in the morning of my second day, thermalite blocks up to the cieling height One side!

hooe you are all well, and I do hope this storm there predicting doesn’t come!! Lol.

ahhh. Nathan,, yes ok,,,,

Well when I got to work on the Monday morning, I was early,, but I wasn’t the first one in,, Nathan the lad that has been paired with me was already in and set up!! And the kettle was on, tea in the cups etc,, spot on, ( which happened every morning)

I was impressed with his timekeeping, and he impressed me even more, with his work ethic,, he has never worked with a bricklayer before, or indeed any builder, but the lad only needs showing once, telling once and then all day he grafts, no time on the phone, no hands in pockets, never standing still,, a really good lad!!!

He has two kiddies , youngsters, 3/5,, now he is separated from his mrs and kids, he lives with his nan,,,, and this is the reason!!

Nathan, for 9 years was is a drug addict,, he had a cocain addiction, from which he is now abstaining,, because he doesn’t want to loose his kids, mrs etc!

He goes to NA meetings every evening, and sometimes twice a day, to help him with his habit, ( which he is clean from and has been for 9 months). He has a great sponsor, and his nan has supported him, by both having him live with her, paying off a few debts for him, which he is paying back, regularly!!

Now he said it was all just a progressive thing from smoking dope/ weed at a young age,, but he now doesn’t do anything more than the occasional fag! No alcohol, drugs of any sort, and is really trying to get it all together, wich I’m pleased to say it looks like happening!!!

The reason that Nathan comes in early is because his use of drugs was prevalent early in the morning, so he now finds the busier he can be in the morning, the less time he has to think about all that shit!! ( his words).

Now his problem is not worrying to me, and he’s a smashing bloke, we have a good laugh,,, but I do have one problem with him,, and it’s a big one!!!!!!

He happens to be the spitting image of Tom Hardy the actor,,, and I’m jealous!! Lolol.
Oh the value of youth eh!! Lololol.
