Lenny's Search for Winter Sun

Did you use the services on the Aire proper, next to the Co-op Lenny?
We did and they were not very pleasant! Stunk to high heaven! Managed to empty the grey and black but declined to pay €3 to walk through the sludge for for "fresh water"
Used best part of a packet of hand wipes to wipe everything down!

Bonus though was the diesel at €1.10 at the next roundabout.

Tonight we are on the Aire at Avinyonet del Penedes campercontact 10711 just S. of Barcelona
It's a winery that produces Cava. They do a free tour and tasting to motorhomers at 6pm each night.

Yes, were there around 12:30 it was fine filled up with water no charge.

Sounds good.

Did you get some wine from the co-op?
It's good for the price, the sell a funny mix of stuff in there but very cheap.

On the way stopped at the co-op and toped up the wine cellar with a couple of litres at €1.19/Lt.
Very dry, slightly tart, aroma of blackcurrants, it's very drinkable.

Pushing the boat out today Lenny :D2:D2 BUSBY.

No, Margaret wouldn't let me ratch in the skip for an empty water bottle
They had some nice bottles in there a bit stronger than the bottle we had with a nice handle only 41 cents see my pic above.

It was a windy night up on the hill here, van rocking & rolling. We love it always sleep well, feel sorry for those with E&P jacks missing out.:)

Walked up to the village and spent most of the day there.

Just to keep you foodies happy we forced ourselves to stuff our faces again.
How do these little Spanish people eat so much only 3 courses we were completely stuffed.

I'm in danger of going over the regulation 75kg for a Motorhome driver :)

Not sure if we should handicap Robert Clark as he is bound to win.:D

Spinach & goats cheese crepe, it was huge didn't really need another course.

Lamb pie for me, baked lamb for Mi. I got one little pie and cream sauce, Mi got 3 large lamb chops, chips and asparagus.:)
A bit deceptive the pie was absolutely stuffed with meat & Mi couldn't eat all of hers, I wonder who finished it.

Fresh pineapple for me and cheesecake for Mi, more of a mousse.

And we finished with coffee.

Morelia looks really interesting, there’s a few undiscovered gems around that area and usually have very good facilities for overnight parking.
Great to visit out of season.

Yep great place, nice Camper Stop, we are actually parked up in the picnic area as no view from the Camper Stop area, police quite happy this time of year. Allowed 72 hours & free servicing.

Yes I do. I can't find your photos of the Aires and how would I know which Aire?
Jumping in on your thread @Lenny HB so apologies but hopefully this will help @PhilandMena

If you want to find the place on a map that someone has given the coordinations for you can use an app such as Google Earth or Google Maps or the maps on iPad/iphone.

So type the coordinates given into the search box (I used the coordinates on an photo a couple of pages ago on Lenny’s thread. You can see it’s an aire at Morella. You can use any format of coordinates and it will display both formats for you.

Yep great, we ate there last year and again this year just as good, Sam took your advice on the lamb chops, also had the quail salad for starters, can’t work out how they do it so cheaply
hope you found a good place to stay the night

A bit early to settle down for the night so we are now back on coast. Oh boy it's so much warmer, lovely.
Now a Benicarlo small nice Camper Stop only 7 places we bagged the last one lucky as it was 5pm when we arrived. Right by the beach.
Filled up with LPG on the way hope at this time of year it is mostly propane. Only took 29 Lt so only 1 litre used out of second bottle so at least if it has a high butane content the 2nd bottle should be OK.
So much warmer here shouldn't need heating.

Outside of Lola doesn't look much but the food is awesome.:D

Quality Camper Stop 4 of the 7 are Hymer's.:)

Often stay at ones that only have 3 or 4 places much nicer than the big ones.
And the other one? (There’s 8):)
Nice spot and you can officially take dogs on the beach to the left from Aire.
