Lenny's Search for Winter Sun

The video looked fun, joys of small village roads. Where travelling blind or using autoroute or maps?

If I try just to enter a centimeter in there my half kill me LOL

Don’t tell me it was a cheapo Chinese sat nav Lenny, just bought one for my navigator as a back up to the very impressive factory fit Zenec :smiley:ee

The video I promised of our little excursion into Vallbona, had to severely edit & reduce quality to get to upload, the reversing was a long painful process.:D2

Bloody hell!! I bet you needed a drink after that ................... and your wife needed two. Any scratches?

Hi Lenny , Braver man than me, i would have turned back a long way back , i didn't like the look of that even at the beginning of the video, i am confident at reversing but I was impressed with yours,
not sure of your good ladies hand signals & directions , but they are definetely better than my wifes

Sod that for a ‘game of soldiers’ I’ll stick with my garmin

Never trust a satnav.. and we have three of them, all Garmin units.

Well done Lenny. Did you reverse all the way back to where the fork in the road was, and then take the right hand fork?
Isn’t it amazing that the town appears to be empty- I often think that with you photos (same with Tams photos). We often remark when we are traveling through France and often cannot see a vehicle ahead, nor in rear view mirror. Polar opposite of U.K.!

I got stressed just watching! Memories of a village called Lubrin in a rain storm come to mind!:whistle:

Jesus ! I’d have knocked at the door and asked if I could remove their balcony.

Had to edit a lot took about 20 Mon to get out, very patient van driver behind.
Reversed about ¾ if the way back and then turned right down past the monastery still pretty hairy. Even the lane through the country bit at the end was hairy, only about a foot wider than the van with huge ditch on each side.

Only about 20 miles south of Peniscola noticeably warmer 22°.
Lost all street cred now, on another flipping site.
Have a small excuse, some of our dancing friends staying here and there is dancing tomorrow night, yippee, will be rock 'n rolling tomorrow.

Big pitch but low tree over part of it and pole for summer shading across the middle, sat dish cleared it by a couple of inches, that's why we are at a funny angle.

Bloody hell, it must seem like Butlins to you. :ROFLMAO:

We splashed out on an expensive Pioneer but often end up using maps on my phone which appear to be more accurate, did put the iPad in the dash holder which was really good being able to easily adjust the area size. Unfortunately my chauffeur (her indoors complained about lack of vision) all part of MotorhomeFun.

are you able to use AirPlay from your iphone to the pioneer? - best of bot worlds.

Yep can do on Apple play but would lose the IGO maps and it’s easier on iPhone or iPad to enlarge or shrink screen and make a judgement on the area and keep the Pioneer maps running as back up. Particularly in France where roads suddenly change to almost single track.

Going from bad to worse, will never be able to show my face amongst F'LT saying more nights on a site. Had to move pitches bloody wood pigeons in the trees nearly midday bleeding things have been going since first light.
