Lenny's on the Road again

for when I have the confidence to start to tour into Europe
Just go boy, our first trip in a Motorhome we ended up in Slovenia, were heading for the Baltic but weather was crap so we turned right at Belgium. :giggle:

Hi Swifter , as Lenny says just go for it , it's so much easier over there , driving & finding lovely villages and places to stop , also the Aires are fun too find , I use GPS refs on my satnav not always correct but close enough , I do my research online before I go usually during winter months check out on Google earth & street view . I like places near water , rivers canals lakes & sometimes beaches . Also as reasonable as possible . Not an FLT , just like free or cheap Aires only use if we campsites if desperate . Always have plan B aires just in case they are full or unsuitable.

Normally €6 but free at the moment, I think a lot are free due to Covid.
It's free to stay but additional €10 for sunshine 😂

Plenty of sunshine just need some heat. Was only meant to be a night stop but it's nice here, will move on this morning but won't get very far Mijhan has a list of things to see in the area. May have to do a load of that driving stuff on Saturday.

Your black tank storey has gone quiet what's happening?

Hi lenny bit late picking your post up sorry. Watching with interest now. Please tell me . Was there any controll or border check going into Belgium. We're going that way into Luxembourg later. Cheers and enjoy your trip chris

Well I've had a good start to the day, had the sniffles and a bit of a cold the last couple of days (flipping grandkids). 'er indoors keeps nagging me to take a Covid test well I relented and tried to do one.
Stuck the pointy stick down the back of me throat    threw me breakfast up all over me trousers.
Not trying that again.

I hope you are feeling a bit better now Lenny 👍🏻

That made me chuckle, they are bloomin horrible. I done one of the tests a couple of months ago and it made me gag, I had to wait a while before I could do the other side. I read the packet again turns out your meant to do your tonsells before your nose !

Had to humor someone today and drive down loads of narrow country lanes and of course this time of year is tractor season that was fun.
Why - to visit loads of timber framed churches that all look the same well almost.

We did 6or 8 here are a few of them.

With any luck I got the right name with the right pics.

I always come back from visiting the grandkids with a filthy cold. Little snot factories

Go check out croatia and report back ....im thinking of going that way
Croatia is one of the most beautiful places I've visited, great roads, lovely people, great food and wine. The coast road is spectacular. Try to visit the Plitvice Lakes, dedicated motorhome parking, get there early as it's worth a full days visit.

Tam We’re currently in Croatia the only problem for you is almost everywhere on the coast there is no free camping aloud only campsites and autocamps and following your travels you wouldn’t be happy with that

Loving the blog Lenny, How on earth do you find these places?🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
I’d rock up here and think “I’m not staying here” I radically need to alter my mindset🤷‍♂️👍
I agree

I’m also loving Lenny’s blog and really would like to know how he finds these places to visit and also stay, it must be experience or something, that I don’t have yet as only having been motorhoming 3 years and locked down for half of it

Also the photo’s make it even better, good quality and make me want to go

When you are at those lovely little French towns and villages, are they open with people wondering about as we seem to struggle to experience that when we have travelled through France. Maybe the time of year but it’s usually now tbh heading south to Spain

Aye ive heard that but then ive also followed people on Instagram etc thats managed to free camp here and there so you never know i might find some spots

Managed to get 90 miles further south today.
Stopped off at Tonnerre to have a look at the Fosse Dionne.

As you can see I was very enthusiastic about it.

Most villages are very quiet to us that's the attraction.
