Yip with acces to mains, just get electric heating, forget about gas, the new electric heaters are btw much better with efficiency And cheap as chips in for example Argos

Lovely trip. We are on the tunnel today and are also undecided exactly where to go. Aiming for Montreuil tonight, then possibly heading south, ultimately for Marseillian Plage but weather will dictate our travel. 4 weeks 6 days.👍

I.ve got me Paddleboard in the garage for when get south, love Sainte-Maries-de-le-mer, alway say at the wild beach Aire at the eastern end.
We've always used that one too in the past on the gravel road adjacent to the beach but I think they have moved it inland a bit...

Glad to see you have finally left our sceptered isle and come over to join us here in France. Hope you and your better half have a safe and wonderful trip, and look forward to reading about it and seeing the photos. I am also looking forward to reading about you having to open your wallet now and again, and spending some of those old francs you have had hiding in your wallet for years. We are now heading north for our crossing on Sat morning, have been down as far as Mortange sur mer, (sorry for mentiioning that Terry, FIDGET) weather has been generally good and have felt safe everywhere.
Have fun James (marpool)

We had a reasonably good night on a Britstops parking at Smeeth, about 15 miles from the tunnel. There were two other vans there. Late at night, there was a hell of a storm and the van was buffeted badly. In fact, the van next to us moved their van back about 10 yards. Not sure what that achieved. The storm died down about 30 minutes later.
Nice and sunny in the morning, no queues at check in and an earlier train was available. No checks on what we were bringing in.
Happily parked up in Montreuil Sur Mer with 6 other vans and onto somewhere else tomorrow.

That looks a nice place. :) It's a corner of France I don't know well as we tend to enter from Brittany (top left) and so miss the bit in the top right.

It was Lidl Paella that was in the freezer didn't pass any shops today.
Nice one . Do you stock up on food and wine from the big supermarkets , local shops or a bit of both ?

14 degrees is almost Summer! Temperature staggered up to 11 degrees by late afternoon [but with a cold wind blowing straight down the Forth] and now dropping down towards the forecast 8 degrees overnight. Pure dead Baltic it is!

Keep the photos coming, please!

Came back from our walk tonight, and the heating was on! Mad dash to the thermostat to lower the temperature, heating now off, that's why we use so little gas in the Van ... 'Rubbish, the ice on the inside of the window is nowhere near 1/2 inch ... I'll give you 3/8, but not 1/2 inch ...' (y)

And then the heat from Elaine's tongue lashing kicks in and the room is toasty again ...
