Lenny's off again Germany, then wherever

The weather has been brilliant up until this weekend when it suddenly got perishing we had to switch the heating on.
(LPG is over 1€ a litre here- 0.70€ in France and Belgium but diesel is a tad cheaper)
Brilliant sun and temperature in the mid 20's except for an horrendous storm one night that even shook the van sideways.

Go East young man.

Lots of it barely untouched since the war.
We've been here for the last ten days.
We've been to the Simpson / MZ motorcycle museum.

Then you might be interested in ‘Missile from the East’, the film about Ernst Degner’s defection to the West and collaboration with Suzuki to give them their first World Championship.

Well bloody hell. I've just downloaded it and watched it last as week.
Excellent film even my wife enjoyed it.

I take it the MZ museum is worth a visit then?

There are two museums.
The Simpson one with a few MZ and the MZ museum with a few Simpson (and DKW) both certainly worth a visit.

Try this one that's been driving up mad for weeks now.
You seem to see it all over and sometimes with a written message underneath

Means “Pollutant Prohibition”

Very eco-friendly in DE. For example, you can’t wash your car on the street, have to use a car wash

We've been to the Simpson / MZ motorcycle museum. We've been on a zoo safari and spent a good hour looking around a pre war machine shop and forge ( bargain at 3€ each)

Today could be the old Wartburg factory in Eisenach.
Done the East a few times, the Audi museme is good never seen so many Travants.

He is quite safe, there are endless documentaries about the war on tv here, it gets boring, they will be glad to talk about it ....... just don´t do the salute, it´s illegal, apart from that ......................

We Wandered into the town today Steinau an der Straße, if you had forgotten.

Over the stream we found the dunking cage for criminals.

Then walking around the corner we found we were somewhere famous.

The brothers Grimm house, the Grimm brothers father was the local Ballife (Magistrate) and the house doubled as a courtroom.

I Must say, it looks far better than that other country you frequent, even the food looks palatable🤗🤗

Look no Schnitzels, pork & beef meatballs with potatoes in a leek sauce, only one problem they didn't serve alcohol.

Not sure that’s a improvement on a schnitzel Lenny😇😆😆, I hope it tasted better then it looks, you are now gifted a out of jail card and are cleared to travel to France lol😁😁😁😎

That looks better! If you can find it, we’ve had schweinshaxe - ham hock/ pork knuckle in both Germany and Austria, it was delicious.
