can you please tell me how you got the carpet to go under the door trim or has it just been trimmed very close as it looks great

and has it been stuck on with a spray adhesive, if so which one, a link to that and the carpet would be great btw.

It is just trimmed next to the strip, link eairler in the thread post #143, bought the adhesive with the carpet.

All good practical stuff your doing there Lenny - How long do you get from that size inline filter?
We don't have a TMV on the van, and I have been surprised a couple of times - On previous boats they were plumbed in immediately after the hot tank so affected all the taps but were set quite high - just not as high as the water in the tank which could be scalding - any reason you've gone for just the shower?

Hi Lenny, I’d like to do the same, can you tell me which other fittings you used to match the Carthago pipe work? Cheers.
Hi i fitted the Alde one that comes complete with John guest fittings

I used these, ½" BSP x 10mm.

Change the filter insert annually cost about £6.

If I fitted the TMV after the tank it would be too cold for washing up, pipes were easy to access for the shower, I set it for a quite hot shower and usually just mix a bit of cold with it.
We only have one tap in the washroom one of those pull out shower ones, we have found if you want a basin full of hot water you need to run the tap at full blast until the hot comes through and it splashes everywhere, not a problem when having a shower. So we find it quicker to fill the basin with a bowl full of hot water from the kitchen as it wastes less water.
If I can get access I will fit another tap direct to the hot supply.

On a lighter note uncle Lenny HB my aluminium channel has come for the step carpet and I’ll be doing that tomorrow, cheers for the tip😉👍🤣🤣🤣🤣

Fitted the Maxxfan, I was going to use Stika 291i, contacted Stika they said 291i could cause stress cracking on the plastic and recommended 295UV, so sent the 291i back and bought some 295UV. (Might want to check yours gus-lopez )

First job remove the Heki, that took less than 10 min the easy part.

Find the wires, they were in trunking in the roof, had to remove the panel above the fridge and push them through.

Next clean up the roof and fit the frame.

Then fit the fan.

Connect the cables, then trim and fit the bezel.

Trim the Heki blind mount and fit.

And finally clip the Heki blind in place.

You will need to trim the carpet down to fit in the channel. I pressed the edge down with a hot wallpaper stripper knife then trimmed it with wire cutters.

That sounds frustrating in a new high van. I get that it might take a while for the hot to come through, but the tap shouldn't be capable of splashing everywhere if on full power.

It's a very compact washroom and uses the same tap for washbasin and shower was OK until I fitted the TMV also changed the shower head for one that delivers less pressure but wider spray area.

Although it's a well made van you do get the silly bits designed by the idiots who have never used a Motorhome.

In this case the area under the wardrobes, cut out in the floor that just goes through to the double floor, it makes a longer hanging space but easy to loose stuff under there.

The Hymer had a plastic tray nothing in this van.

The RHS where you can put the shelf in makes the bottom half unusable so I made some panels out of 4mm ply with the van carpet on them.

Only downside is I put suff under there and I'm still trying to find it 3 weeks later..

Hi Lenny Thanks for all the info on mods to do as I am picking up a 141 LE later this month. You’re going to keep me busy this winter

PS Cathago have discontinued the Compact line from now, if a dealer has not got one on order you can’t get one now. they have been dropped from the website now.

I’d just like to thank you Lenny, that’s another job and more expense you’ve led me into! I immediately said to the wife, “ I’m going to do that”
It looks so good and my doors are getting marked from the bikes that are in the garage, you just can’t avoid the scuffs.
This mod, not only can I afford it, I might be able to do it!
I read your other posts re Lithium and electrics, I don’t know why, I have no chance of knowing what you are talking about!

Not suitable for a Carthago as they & most German vans use 10mm flexible hose.
Does JG not do 10mm or supply adopters Lenny? I know they do a lot of different sizes

Anyone fitting a TMV don't forget to knock the non-return valves out, or you won't be able to drain any pipes after it.
I’ll remind you when you put mine in👍🤣🤣🤣
